Lord of the Rings star Sean Astin has joined the FX pilot ‘The Strain’, which already stars Corey Stoll (House of Cards), Mia Maestro, and John Hurt. The show is based off of a novel, which is about a viral strain of a vampire virus that outbreaks globally, and the mystery surrounding it.
