FX’s The Strain launched on Sunday with a pretty solid 3M viewers for its 1 hour and 42 minute pilot. Fargo debuted with 2.6M in April, so this is up from that. And on a competitive night, where The Strain had to fight other original programming, like The Leftovers, Falling Skies, and Reckless.

The Strain has not been picked up yet for a second season, but I expect it will be soon.
