The Small Screen Diaries- 01/18/24

Apparently Netflix turned The Gentleman into a TV show. Alright. Moving on….

Percy Jackson and the Olympians (Disney Plus) continues to introduce new characters with as little description of what they look like as possible. Ever wondered what Ares might look like? Keep wondering. Not the most recent episode of The Traitors (Peacock) but I did get the second episode out, and that first elimination really needed to set up the inevitable second quickly. I would have made more of a case to say “remember when I turn out to be faithful, the only reason my name even came up is because of….” And then set her up for elimination. I want to be on this show so bad. I would make an excellent Traitor, because no one would suspect the blind guy, but I’d be awful in those challenges. Kinda like the audio description is… #shade.

Fargo (Hulu) is still pulling me in. Jon Hamm and Juno Temple are just killing it this season. Ba da ba ba ba… I’m loving it. The audio description is nice too. This is the episode where Roy tries to reason with the matriarch who isn’t having it, and Dot finds herself committed.

I don’t mention the broad majority of anything non-audio described I watch, so we’ll skip some content, and I’ll give one last shoutout to Silicon Valley (MAX), which I’m still trying to slowly watch. I know there was a meeting where we all decided to cancel TJ Miller, but you have to admit, he’s perfectly cast in this show. Sometimes, Urlacher will say something where I think only Miller of Jason Mantazoukas could have made that line work.

Say Something!
