The Small Screen Diaries- 06/02/24

A sad number of audio described shows to talk about today, but I watched a second episode of Geek Girl (Netflix), which saw the fashion industry try to convince her to come and be a model, which she’s in the middle of feeling humiliated over other things, so she’s resistant, and keeps trying to get them to take Nat. Then, they say bring her, and maybe this Geek Girl will end up on the runway after all.

the Outlaws (Amazon) is back with audio description, but Season 3 feels totally different. I’m pretty sure we are missing a cast member, and this isn’t quite tied to last season. They should have just stuck with the terrific show they had already done.

Mulligan (Netflix) is also back for another season, and this time it is war between land and sea, when a yacht seems more attractive to everyone than being on land. I debated whether or not to do this show for another season, because it’s not one of my favorites, but that voice cast brought me in. Dana Carvey doesn’t do much anymore.

And finally, Loot (Apple Plus) had Maya Rudolph’s character trying to figure out how to test the waters to see if this whole will-they-won’t-they thing is worth going after, but needs to disguise it as a work trip, meaning everyone has to go. but, is she running out of money? Oh no!

Say Something!
