I’m happy for Fred Armisen, and I’m happy for anyone who actually enjoyed his portrayal of Uncle Fester. He was my least favorite casting choice in the series. I would much rather have watched a prequel series that showed the times Gomez and Mortica spent there as young folk. But the world needs more Fester. 1) bodies (Netflix) English Audio Description?: Yes Status: Limited My perpetual problem with this show will be the massive cast and the time jumps. there are too many people for me to follow or care about, and I’m also trying to unravel a really complex … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 12/18/23

Well, I said, and I’ll say it again, the post-strike cancellation wave is still bashing us. It likely will take a break for Turkey Day, but not before Disney Plus could axe The Muppets Mayhem. In fact, on the film side, rumor has it that they are trying to sell off The Bike Riders. Not sure why, as that played fairly well at the festivals, but whatever. in other cancellation news, Melissa Barrera was fired from the new Scream 7 for having the audacity to tweet. I was just thinking to myself the other day, when the hell is the second season of Julia coming out? It can’t be that hard of a show to shoot. Then, MAX sent me a push notification like it can read my brain, and let me know that Julia returns in November. Sarah Lancashire is brilliant, so start catching up if you’ve never seen it. 10) Praise Petey (Hulu) English Audio Description?: No Status: Unknown What actually was this about? I remember there was a guy from New York, and he used to be a part of the cult but … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 10/24/23

Two big new shows dropped yesterday. Also, Hulu, which just brought back moonlighting, announced the return of LA Law in November (not the remake). And there was news of Halloween being purchased for TV rights and a cinematic universe. So look for a Michael Myers TV show as well as I guess an Avengers style Myers universe? 10) The Ren and Stimpy Show (Paramount Plus) English Audio Description?: No Status: Ended While I am still enjoying a little taste of nostalgia, this series very much relies on sight gags and really needs audio description. It also has some perfect gags, … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 10/12/23
