Today, I finally found out how Scott Pilgrim Takes Off (Netflix) ended, and I’m not sure what a second season would look like. The adventure is always in getting Scott and Ramona together, so unless they keep telling alternate versions of that story, they’d likely be together in another season. Nothing too big in the TV world. The CW confirmed what we already assumed, that this is the final season of The CW… I mean… Superman and Lois. It marks the final show to be cancelled in the once dominant DC Arrowverse that started with the Stephen Amell led series, and birthed spinoffs The Flash, Supergirl, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Batwoman, Superman and Lois, and arguably also Stargirl and Swamp Thing, though those were originally created for DC’s streaming service. Friday The 13th was a very unlucky day for one show. Apple pulled the plug on The After Party after two seasons. I’m not really sure why. It always baffles me when a show I see having a strong social media presence among the people in my feed gets cancelled, because it seems so rare that they ever bother to post about shows. but, while the new season was running, I had friends who were really into it. I saw the upcoming list of shows starting next week, and Virgin River is likely the one most worth mentioning.
