After waiting a year to unceremoniously cancel the fantastic Riches, Amazon tries to make up for it by giving Reacher an early season 3 renewal. Yeah, not the same type of show, unless Jack Reacher is now played by a black actress, and the show is now about a heritage beauty brand for black people around the world and the family that helped push it to prominence that is now stuck in a Succession-esque fight for control over their dad’s company. Rumor has it that the team behind the new Scott Pilgrim show on Netflix have no plans to do a second season. Just an FYI for fans. Then again, the Strangers Things guys were only going to make 4 seasons, and they made more. So, peoples minds can be changed. Yesterday, we lost a former First Lady with Roslyn Carter, who made it to 96. We also lost an actor I had forgotten could still be alive, Joss Ackland, who made for a mean villain in in the Lethal Weapon franchise, but also appeared in 90’s Disney films including A Kid In King Arthur’s Court and the Mighty Ducks films. He looked so old even then, that I never would have imagined he made it to 2023.
