Finally! Some TV news. I don’t know which is bigger. Lando has been elevated from a Disney plus series to a full fledged movie, so you can no longer expect it to come to Disney Plus (until after its theatrical run), and Netflix has picked One Piece up for a second season. Here’s the thing I don’t get. The Drew Barrymore show is being picketed, because Drew decided to go back to work, but Whoopi is on the View, and obviously a member of SAG since she’s still acting. I wonder what social media is going to do to all the actors who wrote in letters of support for Danny Masterson. It’s not a great look right now for several of his former cast mates, as well as some random names like Giovanni Ribisi and Jonathan Tucker. i think what is truly telling is that not all of the cast did write letters. Where i Watched It: Netflix English Audio Description?: Yes Narrated By: Elaine Joseph 2023 already had one solid boxing film with Creed 3. Having something like that in mind, fresh, going into Big George Foreman does not help this poorly directed biopic at all. George Tillman Jr has managed some interesting films in the past, like The Hate You Give, but I really don’t know how this film is this bad. Warner TV suspended it’s TV deals with a lot of the major showrunners they had deals with. This strike is just one big power play for the studios. The strike has been going on for a lot longer than the studios thought they would. That’s for sure. I haven’t seen another movie abandon ship from 2023 yet. I forgot Spectrum was Charter, so watching the people in my Facebook feed complaining about not being able to watch their games yesterday was fun. Hilariously, they all blamed Spectrum, and not ESPN. I saw the upcoming list of shows starting next week, and Virgin River is likely the one most worth mentioning. Well, Hulu rocked the internet with the cancellation of The Great. Just me posting that on my personal facebook feed got more comments than anything I’ve posted in the past month. People are irate to say the least.
