I’m happy for Fred Armisen, and I’m happy for anyone who actually enjoyed his portrayal of Uncle Fester. He was my least favorite casting choice in the series. I would much rather have watched a prequel series that showed the times Gomez and Mortica spent there as young folk. Honestly, in television news? I read that Ray Romano has wholeheartedly declined to ever bring back Everybody Loves Raymond. In a world where they keep doing this, most of the time it doesn’t work out. Sure, The Connors is a lone exception, but even that doesn’t have the ratings of the original show, and will fall short of Roseanne’s original run. It’s highly unlikely Paramount Plus is keeping the new Frasier revival around for 11 years. Although, some shows and characters I wouldn’t mind seeing again. Yesterday was the nominations for the Critics Choice Film section, and my quick hot take is: they are more concerned with being a bellwether for predicting the Oscar’s that they aren’t doing anything interesting anymore. Woke up to the tributes pouring in for Andre Braugher, who passed away at the age of just 61. He was such a brilliant actor, who could handle drama and comedy. The Golden Globe nominations came out and several TV shows managed to work their way onto the list. Well, in TV news, John Oliver inked a 3 year renewal for Last Week Tonight with HBO. The Traitors: UK is nearing a premiere date. Someone marvelous won Dancing With The Stars. The Critics Choice nominations were so interesting for the TV nominees this year. Ramon Rodriguez slid in for Will Trent over more obvious performers like Brian Cox for Succession.
