The Dancing With The Stars drama is getting real. A quick update for those who are out of the loop. Dancing With The Stars currently has its contestants in rehearsal for the upcoming season. The WGA has been picketing these rehearsals, and putting pressure specifically on SAG members Alyson Hannigan, Mira Sorvino, and Matt Walsh. The pressure was enough that ABC is mulling pushing back the premiere, as Walsh has caved and paused his participation with the show. However! Here’s the thing I don’t get. The Drew Barrymore show is being picketed, because Drew decided to go back to work, but Whoopi is on the View, and obviously a member of SAG since she’s still acting. Well, Hulu rocked the internet with the cancellation of The Great. Just me posting that on my personal facebook feed got more comments than anything I’ve posted in the past month. People are irate to say the least. I kinda mentioned how the season finale of Doogie Kamaloha felt like a series finale with her not choosing either of the guys, and instead choosing herself. Disney Plus has cancelled the show. I think we all knew they would. It’s a shame, because they have such a hard time launching a new series that isn’t Marvel or Star Wars. I just saw some encouraging news for fans of Twisted Metal. The debut of that series (which I will start soon) is considered to be Peacock’s most watched comedy original thus far. So if you wanted a second season, there’s a good chance. It’s kind of amazing how sloe the TV news is during the strike.
