Again, I’m still trying to rewatch some Oscar movies before the big day. So, I’m watching a smidge less TV.

5) The Problem With jon Stewart (Apple plus)

I actually liked everything I watched today. So, while it’s in 5th place, the return of this program, the beginning of the second half of the season, is still getting good marks.

4) The Good Doctor (ABC/hulu)

lots of different storylines. The show brought back a character. Lea doesn’t want a boring minivan. Park had to fix the guy who broke up his marriage. But, the best storyline was the handling of what happens when an abortion is a necessary medical procedure, or the mother will die, and in this case, the fetus would have died too. Doctors gotta be doctors sometimes. It was handled with kid gloves, but the story really unfolded like it took into account multiple perspectives, but still presented the necessary outcome.

3) Abbott Elementary (ABC/Hulu)

While the sock puppet thing was silly, and Janeane’s comment about her SpongeBob wall was meant to drive something home, I think that the adult me would love to see a mural that represented the best parts of my childhood. I think what the teachers probably want is some educational reference, or a mural dedicated to a historical figure. But, the kids wanted something representative of that moment in time which is so fleeting. if I went back to my elementary school to see a mural my class made of the ninja Turtles, I wouldn’t be at all disappointed. in fact, I’d remember how much I loved being that age.

2) The Mandalorian (Disney Plus)

What a bizarre ending to the episode. Otherwise, it felt like Mando had to face a series of trials, most of which he failed, which is why Groku flew back to get Bo. I still believe this season has more to come, that is better, and bigger, just remembering the past two seasons.

While I don’t know what my next color is or what the time frame is, I believe Pink works best likely as the final episode. I can’t imagine whatever lies ahead has a better finish than this.
