HBOMAX became MAX. Peacock is up next, and look for the streamlined Cock coming soon. Just kidding. or am I? Anyway, the big news sources read me, clearly, since in my review for the American Idol finale yesterday i devoted that time to writing about how Idol had completely ignored former winner Just Sam, who is back to having to busk for money in the subways.Later in the day, Deadline broke that as a news story. hah.
7) Dead Ringers (Amazon)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Limited series
Well, this is a very odd series. I thought episode three definitely ended on a bizarre note, but the episode was long, and full of random bits of shock value. Is the baby brother going to be more relevant? What was up with that birthing sequence? How bad does security have to suck to let someone in the lobby carrying a bucket of blood? Questions unanswered.
Episode Grade: B
6) Dave (FX/Hulu)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Not Yet Renewed
The trick with FX shows is to find that sweet spot with Hulu, where you are sure it’s been long enough that audio description made it. Episode 2 of the new season has it, and it made a world of difference, especially due to the over complicated music video Dave was trying to shoot. The ejaculation scene was definitely needing that description.
Episode Grade: B+
5) Agent Elvis (Netflix)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Not Yet Renewed
I love that Priscilla gave this his blessing. Elvis has to infiltrate another music artist, and the jokes about Elvis and his cultural appropriation are strong. but even that was met with a retort about a Jet magazine article on him that now I really seem to want to read. Also, the whole thing with the baby white Rhino was hilarious, and Don Cheadle is doing some of the best comedic work of his career here.

4) Jeopardy Masters (ABC/hulu)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Not Yet Renewed
James is steamrolling this show. Just saying. This was night 1 of the 2 nights of semi-finals, and he’s already got enough points to qualify for the finals.
Episode Grade: A-
3) Barry (HBo MAX)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Final Season
Sadly, it was still HBo MAX when i watched the third episode of the season. The final moments were nuts, and it’s amazing how good Barry is at his job, that even when you think he isn’t paying attention, he really is.
Episode Grade: A-
2) The Equalizer (CBS/Paramount Plus)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Renewed
Literally, at some point during the episode, every series regular was in danger. Luckily, two of them were able to get out of harms way in time to officially survive until season 4, but the rest of the cast is in Limbo. Robin is in a tight situation, and all her friends are about to be set on fire.
Episode Grade: A
1) Mrs. Davis (Peacock)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Not Yet Renewed
This show is bonkers. I’m sure I don’t understand it fully, because it always comes in out of nowhere with some crazy shit. The fact that most of the third episode is centered around men trying to Hands On A Hardbody their way to glory by holding onto a giant metal sword in the ground and how that wasn’t the weirdest thing that happened this episode speaks volumes.
