I shook up my Wednesday a bit. i usually watch Will Trent/High potential. but, I decided to see what would happen if I pushed those to Thursday. Would they then have audio description? We’ll find out… in tomrorrow’s diary.

TV Shows Watched: Skeleton Crew: S1E8 (Disney plus) with audio description, Goosebumps: S1E4 (Disney Plus) with audio description, On Call: S1E6 (Amazon) with audio description, and Going Dutch: S1E2 (Hulu) no audio description

Best Episode: Skeleton Crew- A nice ending to the season, that closes the door enough just in case Disney doesn’t do a second season, without closing it completely.

Best Performance: Jude Law (Skeleton Crew)- In my final opportunity to single him out, he really was quite terrific on Skeleton Crew. In the end, he doesn’t seem to ever rebound from being a villain, but there’s possibly more to be told. We shall see. He had a lot of levels this season, and Episode 8 was perhaps some of his darkest work.

Best Audio Description: Goosbumps- This show is still killing it. I also love that I’m being introduced to a fresh new narrator, who I love. Fantastic work. Lots to describe, and it is being done very well.

Best Moment Of Audio Description- on Call- I literally es saved the writer when I heard it. It was a very simple moment, but very poetic, and painted a picture for us. It was something close to “Jen’s dirt covered face is partially lit by ambient light.” I was like, damn. That’s the shit right there. There aren’t any monsters or space aliens here, but On call finds ways of making a really basic cop drama feel like it is just as complex. I loved it.

Worst Of…? Nope. I wish going Dutch had audio description on Hulu. So, I guess that wins. But, I stand by what I said when I saw the pilot. Next to St. Dennis medical, it is the second best new network sitcom this fall.
