The Small Screen Diaries: The Weekly Rankings

Here’s a comprehensive list of everything on my watchlist, along with shows that are disappearing. Ranked. Of course.

Winner: Severance (Apple Plus) with audio description- Going strong every single week. Severance is not moving from this spot. I think it got better, and it keeps me on the edge of my seat. Plus, it has some really good audio description. The whole cast is terrific.

Runner Up: From (MGM Plus as a Prime Channel Add On)- I’m still getting through season 1, but I’m very happy this now has audio description and we can catch up.

3rd- Yellowjackets (Paramount Plus) with audio description- After episode 3? Yeah. It is proving its desire to get to that top spot. Episode 3 was terrific.

4th- Cobra Kai (Netflix) with audio description- Basically, Yellowjackets and Cobra Kai just flipped places. That big moment with Jonny was excellent, and I’m getting my Miguel/Tori team up. I’m a very happy fan.

5th- the Traitors (Peacock) with audio description- No change from last week. really close to the end, and I wonder if a traitor can actually win. There’s a small chance. I want more from this audio description.

6) 6th- Reacher (Amazon) with audio description- I am also a big fan of this show, so it will continue to land high on my list. No change in rank from last week.

7th- Last Week tonight With John Oliver (MAX) no audio description- Highest rated show with no audio description. I need this in my life. He makes me sane. Up from last week. I had qualms about a top 10 show with no AD but they do add it later I believe. Just much much later.

8th- St Dennis Medical (Peacock) with audio description- My favorite comedy that isn’t John Oliver right now.The ensemble is really good.Already renewed for another season.

9th- The White Lotus (MAX) with audio description- Up from last week. the second episode was better, and started to flesh out the characters. i still miss Jennifer Coolidge.

10th- Abbott Elementary (Hulu) with audio description- Slid down a bit from last week, but still ranks really high.

11th- Elzabeth (Paramount Plus) with audio description- I would love to see Carrie Preston get some Emmy love. She’s so great, and I love this show. The audio description is OK.

12th- Mythic Quest (Apple Plus) with audio description- This weeks murder mystery episode was flawless. I’ve been a long time fan. I’m excited for the spinoff.

13th- Ghosts (Paramount Plus) with audio description- A consistent sitcom. I’m glad it exists. this last episode with mob vibes was funny.

14th- Pop Culture Jeopardy (Amazon) with audio description- Still a big Jeopardy fan, and I excel at pop culture stuff.

15th- The Daily Show (Paramount Plus) no audio description- Again, I just need stuff like this in my life. I wish it had audio description.

16th- Your friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man (Disney plus) with audio description- I’m still not done with this. I’m hoping we get more seasons. I wish the audio description embraced the diversity.

Running Point (Netflix) with audio description- The highest debut on the list. I’m really glad Kate Hudson teamed up with Mindy Kaling. this show could drop as the season progresses, but I remain optimistic.

18th- Vietnam: The War That Changed America (Apple Plus) with audio description- An excellent docuseries.

19th) School Spirits (Paramount Plus) with audio description- I feel like the show is getting more interesting. Now that Janet has Maddie’s body, things are escalating. And that kiss in the last episode!

20) Zero Day (Netflix) with audio description- Halfway through this, and I’m enjoying the ride. i could do without DeNiro having some weird memory issues though.

21) Matlock (Paramount Plus) with audio description- I just want the season to wrap. It is dragging out the plot. I guess they earned more episodes, but I was under the impression season 1 was ten episodes with no flexibility. I feel the flexibility.

22) Harley Quinn (MAX)- Oddly I love the show, but it isn’t my favorite season. I can say that about a few shows though. it is not at all in danger of “remove from watchlist”. I can always use more BANE!

23rd- Celebrity Jeopardy (Hulu) with audio description- Ana Navarro was a bit much this past week. She had more to say than anyone ever on Jeopardy. And I like the ladies of the View.

24th- Tracker (Paramount Plus) with audio description- A really solid performer on my lineup. I enjoy it and hope it continues.

25th- The Rookie (Hulu) with audio description- Again, I’m a long time fan, but the writing this season is really trying my patience.

25th- Grosse Pointe Garden Society (Peacock) with audio description- Of the three new NBC shows, this one excites me the most moving forward. the audio description was pretty good.

26th- The Masked Singer (Hulu) no audio description- Basically even with last week. It might even be higher if it had audio description.

27th- Paradise (Hulu) with audio description- I’m mostly happy with the show, but it can be uneven. this last episode was really good though. I’m just not confident it can stick the landing.

28th) Going Dutch (Hulu) no audio description- I do enjoy this. I wish wish this had AD.

29th- SNL (Peacock) with audio description- Still waiting for the reunion to upload audio description.

30th- Surface (Apple Plus) with audio description- Season 2 doesn’t. Quite grab me like Season 1, but I’m still interested in where it is headed and the acting is good.

31st- Berlin- ER (Apple Plus) with audio description- A few new medical dramas thrown at me recently, and this German one interested me the most. The dubbing is pretty good. I like it more than The Pitt.

32) the Great North (Hulu) no audio description- I enjoy this, and I’m shocked it is in season 5. shocked. I love that it keeps going though.

33rd- XO Kitty (Netflix) with audio description- No real change from last week.

34th- Survivor (Paramount Plus) with audio description- It has been a long time, but the first episode was OK. long, but Ok. A nice return.

35th- court Of Gold (Netflix) with audio description- A solid basketball docuseries, just like Starting Five was a few months ago.

36th- Prime Target (Apple Plus) with audio description- It is getting a bit more interesting as it gets closer to the end.

37th) Love You to Death (Apple Plus) with audio description- Didn’t squeeze it in this week. Not much of a change.

38th- Invincible (Amazon) with audio description- I do like the show, I just don’t love the show.

38th- Win Or Lose (Disney Plus) with audio description- the third episode was a huge improvement.

39th- have I Got News For You (MAX) no audio description- I’d rank it higher, but this one is far more image based than Last Week Tonight or The Daily Show. It might climb the list though. It need audio description the most.

40th- Will Trent (Hulu) with audio description- I’m not loving the third season as much as the first two. It has gotten very dark for some reason. Lighten up.

41st- Toxic Town (Netflix) with audio description- This limited series based on a true story is a bit predictable, but I think I can knock out 4 episodes.

42nd- Are you Smarter Than A Celebrity? (Amazon) with audio description- And this is where this lands.

43rd- Krapapolis (Hulu) no audio description- another FOX animated sitcom with no AD i stumble through.

44th- Suits: LA (Peacock) a strong cast. poor writing. How long will it last?

45th- 1923 (PAramount Plus) with audio description- i was super lost.it had been too long since the last episode. I had forgotten who half the cast even was, or even the ones I remembered, i couldn’t remember why they were where they were.

46th- Clean Slate (Amazon) with audio description- I wish this was better. i really do. I will finish it though. Only 3 episodes left.

48th- Shifting gears (Hulu) with audio description- Excellent AD. I need the show itself to be funnier.

49th- Papa’s House (paramount Plus) with audio description- Again, another sitcom that I want to like, because of the cast, but it needs new writers.

50th- The Kardashians (Hulu) with audio description- The ladies are clinging on for dear life.

51st- How Disney built America (Hulu) no audio description- Just cut out the reenactment actors, please? I promise the show will be better.

52nd- Muslim Matchmaker (Hulu) with audio description- If nothing else, it is interesting for cultural purposes.

53rd- Wags To riches (Netflix) with audio description- I finished this. It won’t appear next week. it is behind me. In can’t believe I actually finished this show.

the Danger Zone- Cassandra (Netflix), Happy’s Place (Peacock), The Pitt (MAX)- three shows bubbling on the verge of being removed from my watchlist.

Beyond The Gates (Paramount Plus), The Americas (Peacock), the Book Of David (Amazon)- and Secret Level (Amazon)- Three new shows that just are not my thing. Beyond The Gates has no AD, the other three do. Secret Level got the axe finally as I decided to shift Cassandra into the danger zone, and one show into getting the axe.

with new shows coming next week, and me having over 50 shows right now, I would say things don’t look good for The Pitt and Cassandra. I have a hard time quitting Reba, even though her show is not at all funny.

Say Something!
