Once again, a silly comprehensive list of every show I consider myself actively watching. Shows move up, down, leave, get cancelled, and join. New additions this week include And Just Like That (MAX), the Better Sister (Amazon), Dept Q (Netflix), America’s Got Talent (Peacock), The Buccaneers (Apple Plus), Earnhardt (Amazon), and a few others. this is also the last week shows like The Handmaids Tale and the Last Of us will appear, either forever, or for a while.
WINNER: the Handmaids Tale (Hulu) with audio description- Just an excellent run, a brilliant cast, and The Testaments has a lot to live up to.
Runner Up: Hacks (MAX) with audio description- Six episodes into season four, and I think this is contending to win Comedy Series over The Bear and The Studio. I think this is the winner.
#3- Etoile (Amazon) with audio description- I have one more episode left, and while Amazon is sticking with this, I’d love to see it thrown an Emmy nomination or two.
#4- Sirens (Netflix) with audio description- I’ve seen three of the five episodes, and this has shot up my list. I adore the show, and it has one of the best audio description tracks right now.
#5- the Last Of Us (MAX) with audio description- I definitely didn’t agree with the finale, but the performances have been strong. I’m a Bella Ramsey fan, fuck the haters. they deserve all the praise and none of the hate. I can’t say the same thing for the writers, who are making poor life choices.
#6- Poker Face (Peacock) with audio description- three episodes in, and I’m still a fan. I’ve gotten at least one new fan in my life to this show, so hopefully this will continue on Peacock as long as it stays good.
#7- Last week Tonight (MAX) no audio description- No new episode last week.
#8- From (MGM Plus) with audio description- Still working my way through season 2, and getting caught up thanks to MGM Plus adding audio description earlier this year.
#9- Murderbot (Apple Plus) with audio description- It’s up my alley. entertaining, fun, and I get to find out that Alexander Skarsgard can be funny too.
#10- Black Mirror (Netflix) with audio description- also catching up here, and I’m in the 2nd season. Every episode is a short film. Basically. The stars that come into this are big names.
#11- Bet (Netflix) with audio description- To be fair, the internet doesn’t love it as much as I, but I don’t know the source material. I think it is a ton of fun, and feels like anime realized in live action form.
#12- Midcentury Modern (Hulu) with audio description- We just said farewell to Linda Lavin, and I have one episode left. I don’t think Hulu has made a renewal decision yet.
#13- Jurassic World: Chaos theory (Netflix) with audio description- Still a fan. I think I have two episodes left in this season. They keep name dropping Owen Grady.
#14- Elzabeth (Paramount Plus) with audio description- that finale was a hot mess, but I loved the rest of the season. this is done until fall, so it won’t be on the list next week.
#15- The Better sister (Amazon) with audio description- The highest debut of the week. I thought Jessica Biel’s new show pulled me in right away, and I don’t know who the killer is. I’m eager to find out.
#16- Your Friends And Neighbors (Apple Plus) with audio description- Seven episodes in. I wonder if it can get an Emmy nomination in any major category.
#17- the Daily Show (Paramount Plus) no audio description- No new episodes last week.
#18- Nine Perfect Strangers (Hulu) with audio description- I’m intrigued. My favorite “stranger” right now is Murray Bartlett.
#19- Pop Culture Jeopardy (Amazon) with audio description- I’m still not done. I watch one episode a week to stretch this out.
#20- Jeopardy Masters (Hulu) with audio description- Down to the final four. I will miss *spoiler*, but let’s face it. Victoria is winning.
#21- Ghosts (Paramount Plus) with audio description- Finished the season. Interesting choices at the end.
#22- Overcompensating (Amazon) with audio description- this show keeps growing on me. I’m 4 episodes in.
#23- You (Netflix) with audio description- Just got through Bronte’s episode, and this can’t end with Joe getting a happy ending, right?
#24- Number One Happy family USA (Amazon) with audio description- Finished this, and I think Amazon will renew it. Most adult animated shows go to a second season.
#25- Forever (Netflix) with audio description- Five episodes in, and this has been a solid show.
#26- The Walking Dead: Dead City (AMC Plus) no audio description- justice for Negan! Give him audio description!
#27- Wondla (Apple Plus) with audio description- A very creative show for the whole family.
#28- the Pitt (MAX) with audio description- And to think, I actually quit watching this. no, I don’t think it deserves the Emmy, but it is better than I first gave it credit for.
#30- Duster (MAX) with audio description- The JJ Abrams show continues to surprise me as well.
#31- And Just Like That (MAX) with audio description- I miss Sara Ramirez, and I hate Aiden.
#32- The Stolen Girl (Disney Plus) no audio description- A tight thriller that needs audio description to go up the list.
#32- Top Chef (Peacock) with audio description- I’m worried my favorite chef just served floor food.
#33- drag Race All Stars (Paramount Plus) with audio description- Fun. not as fun as it could be, but fun.
#35- Motorheads (Amazon) with audio description- Again, if you miss shows from The CW, this is that structure. I believe I’m only 3 episodes in.
#36- The Rehearsal (MAX) with audio description- Now that I’m in season 2, it has potential to start climbing based on current season content.
#37- The Four Seasons (Netflix) with audio description- This ranking is generous. I do love the cast, and they are running on fumes.
#38- Yellowstone (Peacock) with audio description- honestly, no change. I didn’t watch another episodes post-death.
#39- Bosch Legacy (Amazon) with audio description- A steady performer. I know what I’m getting every episode.
#40- Dept. Q (Netflix) with audio description- The second episode made me boost it a bit. Matthew Goode is giving a good turn here, I just am not really feeling the show.
#41- The Great North (Hulu) no audio description- Another reliable performer for me.
#42- SNL (Peacock) with audio description- I’m caught up through Jon Hamm.
#43- The Buccaneers (Apple Plus) with audio description- I enjoyed rewatching the pilot. I initially only watched the first two episodes, and I’m not sure why. I must have been slammed around that time.
#44- Earnhardt (Amazon) with audio description- A solid docuseries.
#45- Ransom Canyon (Netflix) with audio description- 1 more episode left of this fluff.
#46- 911 (Hulu) with audio description- Two episodes left.
#47- Love death and robots (Netflix) with audio description- inconsequential, but idealistic, and fun. Very good audio description.
#48- Got to Get Out (Hulu) with audio description- Done. Finished.
#49- No Man’s Land (Hulu) with audio description- What a tough series to describe. Not for everyone.
#50- Yes Chef (Peacock) with audio description- This is perfectly fine.
#51- Destination X (Peacock) with audio description- This is also perfectly fine.
#52- The Secrets We Keep (Netflix) with audio description- I’m keeping this low out of respect to human narrators. Humans mean no audio ducking, usually.
#53- Americas Got Talent (Peacock) with audio description- brilliant audio description, but not a ton of fun to watch as a blind person, IMO.
#54- Krapapolis (ulu) no audio description- Finished Season 2.
#55- Grimmsburg (Netflix) with audio description- Still finishing Season 1.
#56- Battle Camp (Netflix) with audio description- I’m eight episodes in.
#57- Goverment Cheese (Apple Plus) with audio description- 8 of 10 episodes.
#58- the Narrow Road To The Deep north (Amazon) with audio description- two episodes into this bleak drama. the audio description isn’t my favorite.
#59- Bad Thoughts (Netflix) with audio description- 4 of 6 episodes. I’ve loved and hated the audio description here.
#60- Lazarus (MAX) with audio description- I’m eight episodes in here. I’m going to finish.
Danger Zone: the second Best Hospital in The galaxy (Amazon), Dark Winds (Netflix), The Kardashians (Hulu), Berlin ER (Apple Plus)
