Mindhunter- David fincher’s serial killer, birth of the profiler drama is so freaking good. How did this only get two seasons? The duo finds themselves validated at an academic level by their study, so they continue to ask the tough questions from deprave individuals. not my favorite choice of narrator, but a lot of people like flat narration. I think personally it is a bit too flat, but it is well written. That matters the most.

From- An epic episode that played a lot with Boyd’s own mental state as his apology tour turned into him being haunted by the music box, and a ballerina. But when things turned dire, and he’s required for a blood transfusion, he has some quick thinking to pass the worms to something else before using his blood to save a life. The best part was that finally we saw other people could see the worms, so we knew he wasn’t simply losing his mind.

Countdown- I’m lost. I’m just going to say it. This isn’t even a sprawling fantasy epic like The Wheel of Time. it is just a bloated action crime drama with too many cast members, too many side plots, and everything right at the beginning. it doesn’t build to it, it throws you in the deep end. I still feel like I don’t really know everyone on this team, and their lives are at stake.I think this series could absolutely be good, but it needs to slow down a bit, and invest in building its world, plot, and characters instead of just gunning it like its a race car.

Drag Race All Stars- I’m hoping the 4th time is the charm for ginger, and she’ll finally earn her crown. It looks like they are making a concerted effort to do just that, but she’s also made it just shy before. She’s one of the more succcessful alumni, and it is weird to think she might go home without ever having won, after competing four times.

Yes Chef- we cut down to the final three this episode. It is interesting to see how they keep bringing back the eliminated contestants in new ways.

the Bear- Episode 4 is our Sydney centric episode where she goes and hangs with her sister, and even ends up babysitting her niece for a bit. Episodes like this help build out these characters even more, which is how some of them have been able to stand out. Ayo’s performance was solid, and I love the audio description.

Dexter- Joining my watchlist, since we have already done Original Sin, and New blood, and Resurrection premieres in July, is my attempt to see what the hell happened in the last half of the show. I was a big Dexter fan for a few years, and I’ve seen the first four seasons, so I don’t need to start at the beginning. but, they made a bold choice at the end of Season 4, and it was one I wasn’t interested in following. So, Dexter always ended at Season 4 for me. Now, I’m seeing what is after that. At least it has audio description.

Ginny and Georgia- well, I know this may surprise you, but that cliffhanger ending at the end of episode 8 went nowhere. So, we can move onto other topics, like Ginny’s dad sticking around, and Maxine breaking up with Sophia. Heavy stuff.

Breaking Bad- Walt is back with Jesse and pushes him to find a distributor. this leads Jesse to getting severely beaten, which forces Walt to go to the same guy to get the distribution deal. He finally calls himself Heisenberg, and uses his knowledge of chemistry to make a small explosive in a pretty cool sequence that gets him to be taken seriously.Hank is trying to figure out who stole the masks from the high school, which also ends up making Walt feel incredibly guilty. meanwhile, Skylar is one of the most annoying characters on television. I know I’m supposed to empathize with her, but she can be a bit much.
