911 Nashville- I’m so happy ABC is venturing into using better AD providers than the one that they had been using and still use on programs like High Potential and Abbott Elementary. This has some solid audio description in the accident sequences, where a man is impaled on a water tower, and another is struck by lightning. this spinoff needs to stay grounded, and not deviate into the batshit crazy storylines the original show finds itself in as Angela Bassett single handedly saves the world.

The Last Frontier- I’m here for this show. If you were a fan of the Blacklist, or have been waiting for another thriller where a police force type has to chase down a smarter than they should be bad guy, this does that very well. It isn’t Emmy worthy, but it is attention worthy, and has some nice audio description to boot.

My Life With the Walter Boys- The sophomore season has been perhaps even more sappy, and I’m just waiting for it to be over. Treading water. I may not come back for a third season. This was a little on the fringe for me after the first season, but all this new relationship drama just really drags down the show. The writing isn’t great, the actors are OK, and it has a tendency to overplay its hand.

long Story Short- Loved the episode where the kids were trying to figure out what to say in a speech to commemorate their mom, while watching all these other people have their stories. It is so based in real issues, that’s what makes it work. It is King of The Hill… but Jewish. the audio description is great too, as Liz Gutman finds the right beats in a comedy that lands in adult animation, but stays grounded like a typical sitcom.

Celebrity Weakest Link- Comedians compete. I’m surprised at who won, but they knew their stuff.

Matlock- As we wait for a certain character to be written off the show, Billy’s setup seems to be he might leave to start a family. Meanwhile, Maddie really wants to take down Senior, after he is a pompous ass toward her, but also her husband wants to be done with this. Things are complicated now that a man who might be Alfie’s dad is in the picture, but can he be trusted? So glad this is back, and I’m shocked at how effortlessly Season 2 is happening.

Say Something!
