From- Love this show. One of my favorites. It certainly is getting weird, and one character does a bad bad thing at the end. Also, Elgin really needs to run. And, the cop is so cocky she is going to get killed or cause more trouble. She doesn’t even have a name yet. Solid audio description.
Sheriff Country- i watched between 5-7 episodes of Fire Country, and there was just too much damn TV on at the time. I can’t see this being a forever show. it is fine, but not amazing. It oddly falls into current tropes of having an addict as a child, or an ex-con in the family but being a cop, but totally dodges the struggle of being taken seriously as a woman in charge (something High potential DID talk about this season), nor does it mention that our lead is ridiculously attractive, and sometimes pretty girls have even harder of a time. Don’t dodge the obvious. Lean in on it, own it, and make it work.
911- It is actively trying to get me to quit now, isn’t it? A robot. seriously? I made a joke in my video review of 911 Nashville about this series going nuts, and maybe a T-Rex attacking Nashville, but after seeing this season, 911 merging with dinosaurs really does seem in the cards. I fully expect Angela Bassett to either fight aliens, zombies, vampires, dinosaurs, or something utterly fucking stupid by the end of the season. Dangerous robots has now been checked off. What’s next?
King Of the Hill/Futurama- this is how far I am from hearing audio description.
Pop Culture Jeopardy- Finally renewed, but also moving to Netflix. I’m down to the finals now. Presumably, one episode left.
South Park- they’ve made headlines all season for their biting commentary, but then they just abruptly became Season 28 out of nowhere. That makes Season 27 really short, and now everyone is confused. However, the turnaround on audio description from Wednesday airing to Saturday viewing on paramount Plus is exceptional. I’ve watched it later than this, and not had AD this season. Keep up the rapid rate.
Tulsa King- Of all of the scenes that stayed with me, there were two. one, was that the bad guy was willing to see his son get killed until he wasn’t, and the other was Dana Delaney and Sylvester Stallone in bed together in a non-sexual capacity. like, off camera they have sex, and sleep together, but they’re just regular folk who read books before bed.
Boston Blue- I also bailed on Blue Bloods during its first season, though Boston Blue has pulled in a Walking Dead alumni with Sonequa Martin-Green, and therefore, I’m more inclined to like this and watch it. The cast is stacked, with Ernie Hudson, Gloria Reuben, and the kid from Black-ish among the new regulars, and not having seen 14 seasons of blue bloods and only having passing knowledge of the show didn’t hinder my enjoyment. this will last longer on my schedule right now than Sheriff Country.
Abbott Elementary- Not my favorite episode, but the gang goes to a baseball game together. In the pantheon of great Abbott episodes, this ain’t it. It wasn’t bad, but the show has had much funnier bits, and they felt like they were doing some weird synergy crossover moment. It didn’t work for me, but I still love these guys and the show. Just not my favorite episode.
