TV Shows Watched: High potential: S2E4 (Disney plus) with audio description, Chad Powers: S1E4 (Disney Plus) with audio description, Mr Scorsese: S1E1 (Apple TV) with audio description, House Of Guinness: S1E6 (Netflix) with audio description, The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball: S1E12 (Disney Plus) with audio description, Only Murders In The Building: S5E8 (Hulu) with audio description
High Potential- I don’t live in an influencer home so I can’t relate to this episode. We are still slowly unpacking where the missing ex-husband is, and also our new captain, who has some weird interviews with people. I do like the show, but for example, something clearly was in the car, and fell out, and I think it was a body… but the audio description didn’t confirm it. It just told me to go fuck myself. So rude. By God, I will continue to bitch about these things until these few remaining companies take the accessibility they provide seriously, or get out of the game. Renaming your company doesn’t clear your slate. Actually changing the quality of the goods and services you provide does.
Chad Powers- Every time I watch this episode, I laugh a dangerous amount. the whole thing about Chad being “blind sided” killed me. Also, this has some decent audio description behind it. The guy with the makeup on, for example, was a decent description.
Mr Scorsese- If you appreciate the work of Scorsese this in depth multi-part docuseries dives all in on the man behind the camera. This first episode is all about his childhood, his beginning, and his early influences. I love that the audio description, when they show a clip from an old movie, names the film and the director, which is important in a series about, well, a director.
House Of Guinness- I could probably just stop watching and review, but this is so middle of the road for me, that it does actually need the remaining few episodes to figure out what side of the Fresh/Rotten it is on. I’m leaning Fresh, just not super heavy. It does have very lovely British description though.
The Wonderfully Weird World Of Gumball- Thew in another episode since it had been a minute since I watched this. There were 20 episodes, so I have a few to still go. I also don’t want this to be like Pop culture Jeopardy and I’m still reviewing this in April.
Only Murders In the Building- Ladies Night saw the return of guest stars Renee Zellweger, Meryl Streep, Dianne Wiest, DaVine Joy Randolph (ALL of whom are Oscar winners, by the way) as well as Bobby Cannavale, beanie feldstein, and Richard Kind. Mabel takes some guests into a ladies night at the casino to try and get Camilla to confess to murdering someone, but did she? Meanwhile, the other two go to therapy from another resident while trying to keep them from moving.
