Black Mirror- smithereens! Andrew Scott, Topher Grace, and damson Idris star in a social media commentary that has a bit of a mixed message. I know grief doesn’t always make sense, but he looked down at his phone for a push notification, which could have been from anything. And, the other driver was drunk. This is the first episode that not only feels like it could happen, but feels like it probably already has. I’m glad topher Grace got to play empathetic instead of apathetic.

Sheriff Country- But… what if she did kill her boyfriend? Do it. make it so. take the big bold risk. The Sheriff’s daughter is a murderer… now what? I think it is more likely to be someone else, but I’d appreciate the big swing on a rather safe program that still has no commentary on female officers not being respected like their peers, or anything really having to do with gender. I think I know the target demo for this, and they do not like to be awakened from slumber.

Dexter- In what must be the penultimate episode, Dexter, who thinks he’s tracking two killers realizes he’s only really after one.

Long Story Short- I don’t see myself reviewing this, because it was kind of uneven, but it has so much promise, which it realizes in its surprisingly emotional finale for an adult animation program. The AD balanced the humor with the more mature dramatic beats really well. I was quite impressed at how this show stick the landing. If you haven’t finished it, the season finale makes it worth it.

Billy the Kid- We’re still building Billy. he’s not the outlaw you know just yet, which is kind of dragging the show a little. It needs a bit more action in it. It can feel sleepy or have pacing issues at times, which is amplified by it being a linear show that has to run a certain time, which isn’t always justified.

Have i got News For you- same stuff. Love the show. Keep it going. Add audio description.

SNL- The track is really good, if it didn’t talk on top of some of the dialogue and jokes. I even found it endearing that our live narrator was having a hard time not laughing at times. But the pass through we get at home is not balanced well, and he ends up talking over people. it’s the byproduct of not watching live. However, Amy Poehler will likely be the best guest of the season, because she was flawless.

Only Murders In The Building- Looks like I’m 50% correct. I’ll take it. Unless they have another zinger in the finale that makes me 100% correct, and someone had an accomplice all along. But, will they save their building? That’s the real question.

Say Something!
