Y’all have no idea how many times I type the title and my fingers trip and spell “Dairies”. Nearly every morning.

The Last Frontier- we still have to track down other felons, including a combination of an older black widow style killer, and her younger apprentice, who take up the bulk of the episode, as we still check in on our primary villain, learn more backstory, and see how Luke deals with danger. One of the more entertaining shows on TV. if you liked The Blacklist, and wanted something like it, with more linear structure, and a higher budget, this is killing it right now. The AD is also solid.
From- Two episodes until I’m caught up. No deaths, but a lot of people are going through stuff. Sarah is trying to help Victor remember what the dummy said, which he eventually remembers, and Henry imparts some wisdom to the men as an older gent with some regrets. meanwhile, the fix is on to keep Fatima safe, but what or who is compelling Elgin? Nice Audio Description still.
DMV- This show hasn’t sunk its claws into permanence. I don’t think it is bad, and I’m trying to give this ensemble room to grow, but they don’t quite mesh as quickly, or as well, so Tim Meadows is carrying the whole thing right now. The AD is fine.
Starting Five- I barely remember this audio description, but I also feel like Starting Five is just helping me stay up to date on the NBA after I stopped paying attention when I couldn’t play NBA 2K anymore. This episode focused on a player who had been in the league for 7 years, just a year shy of my vision loss.
911 Nashville- I’m getting a little bored and looking for the exit. I’d be remiss if I didn’t say the only reasons I’m still watching are a few of the cast, and the excellent AD (by ABC standards) by Roy. On the network, it is one of their best described shows, but in reality, it is just as solid as most programs. ABC just struggles with AD sometimes.
Tulsa King- It’s starting to lose me. I’m at a point where I can see holes in the plot. Like, we see Dwight driving and somehow Cole finds where he is, despite Dwight having a huge head start? Not just that, but cole was sitting in a parking lot waiting. How the fuck? Come on now. For a show that just fired a chunk of the crew ahead of Season 4, I sure hope it gained a more competent writer. The problem with Taylor Sheridan programs is that they rely nearly entirely on the talent to carry them, and don’t staff the writers room with people capable of multi-season compelling arcs and characters.
South Park- South Park sucks now. And Pam has something on her face. Also, loved the take on Steven Miller. Last time they had audio description by Saturday, but not this time.
Boston Blue- I’m not sure we made the case for Danny to be in Boston. i was waiting for that truly to come alive in the second episode, and they didn’t really nail that. This was fine. the AD is fine.
Abbott Elementary- I’m tired of this now. Every episode this season seems to be “The Abbot gang goes to…” and this week they went camping. They’re having a season like Ernest or Madea, where they are likely to save Christmas or Go To Jail by the end of the run. What happened? Seriously.
Nobody Wants This- A bumpy jump back into the mix attempts to introduce new characters, like a love interest for “whore number two”, and Seth Rogen shows up because God knows that man hasn’t done enough yet. From The Studio, to Platonic, to Sausage Party, we certainly have not seen enough of him. And, his character is also introduced in a really clunky way. The strength here was in the returning core cast of five (including the sister), and seeing that dynamic. Jackie Tohn and Timothy Simons are excellent supporting players. I’m still a fan, but this premiere was a bumpy landing. the AD was fine though.
