TV Shows Watched: It: Welcome To Dairy: S1E8 (HBO MAX) with audio description, Tulsa King: S3E10 (Paramount Plus) with audio description, Nobody Wants this: S2E4 (Netflix) with audio description, Loot: S3E7 (Apple TV) with audio description
Welcome To Dairy- This show has been obsessively and graphically violent, very gory, and brilliantly described. My review of it might contain a bit more than this, but the scene with the Principal, for example, had to walk a fine line. It couldn’t reveal the whole thing up front, but it was pretty obvious what it was. They announced the series is getting a physical release in May, so I hope those discs are pressed with this AD. The series gets a bit in the weeds, and in the end, I think suffered. Enough to go rotten?
Tulsa King- I’ll admit, the final moment between Stallone and Patrick felt cool, but this was so goofy. I know they are concerned more with launching Sam Jackson’s character for his show, but walking up with grenade launchers felt… a bit much? No? The audio description was solid, but man this was over the top… and not in a fun arm wrestling way.
Nobody wants This- Still a charming series. I’ve heard some didn’t like Season 2 as much, but it still has a really rich supporting cast to it. Case in point, Timothy Simons and Jackie Tohn, who deserve some Emmy love next time around. The AD here is great, and is IDC, done by someone I’m not familiar with.
Loot- Molly is in a slump, so her cousin kinda kidnaps her and reunites her with Nicholas, who is technically working in South Korean TV, but basically just made a show about Molly. I wonder if Apple will go for a 4th season. Last time I mentioned, the AD where the opening credits should be is doing a great job of pointing out random objects, but I hate the decision to not name any cast. I hate it more when there are guest stars, which Loot doesn’t have much of a problem with. Other shows do though.
