Stranger Things- The AD was written well, not the episode. Lots of conveniences. Still, they are holding deaths back presumably for either the next episode, or the finale. But, why would Henry wait until Jane finds Will to use Will as a spy to find Max? He’s had Will, for at least a little bit, so what was he waiting on? There was no rhyme or reason to that. It is those kind of choices, where a writer does something that makes no sense, because it is cool. A certain someone waking up at the hospital just in time to help, when that person wouldn’t have known what was going on, yet somehow…

St Dennis Medical- One of the best sitcoms on TV right now. With Abbott in a slump this season, I’d honestly put this over it, as this hasn’t reached its brick wall yet. A funny episode about healthcare workers being attacked that lacked context purposefully at the start.

Bat Fam- they turned that adorable animated Batkid film into a series. I’m here for it. That was one of my favorite films when it came out, and like most shows spun off from a film, this is weaker. It needed to introduce more characters, and does so in a somewhat stilted manner. This series could have used a true pilot episode, introducing everyone to this world, not just the ones who saw the film. the AD is by Roundabout, and it isn’t bad. Luke Wilson is still voicing Batman.

Name That Tune- In my humble opinion, they waited too long on I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing. In my humbler and saltier opinion, Finnesse Mitchell? Celebrity Name That Tune? I’m sorry, was Rob Schneider busy? Finesse did three seasons on SNL as a featured player, joining the same time as Kenan. He was not offered a regular spot, Kenan was. His career has been… nearly non-existent in the last few years. Of all the potential SNL alums that could have competed for charity, and they found him. Finesse’s charity probably needed to be himself, though I could say nearly the same for Rob Riggle, whose career has been better, but nowhere near where other Daily Show alumni have been.
