Hal and Harper- Still exploring Mubi. Mark Ruffalo is in this. I wish Mubi pushed more into the world of AD.

The Copenhagen Test- Fuck. This is one of the worst shows I’ve ever seen. I don’t know how it has 71% on Rotten Tomatoes. Good lord. There’s an R word we don’t use anymore, but… No. Simu Liu has stumbled into a show that can’t help but overexplain everything, and consistently repeat itself. The AD track, made by one of those companies that I lament regularly, is confused as well, as it repeats itself. There’s a scene where he enters a room, and the narrator says the same phrase back to back. They have this inciting incident where he has to rescue a child or a woman, and they show it to you so many time, I’m convinced the Copenhagen Test is finding out who has Alzheimer’s. The core of the story is some stupid “who watches the watchmen” nonsense where some clandestine American branch known as the Orphanage monitors everyone else. but, one of their agents may be compromised, because he’s emitting a WiFi signal. I don’t know how this got made, but my Rotten Tomatoes review would just be that speech from Billy Madison. And may God have mercy on your soul. If you have a loved one that wants to watch this, divorce them.

The Chair Company- Even though I don’t love it, I appreciate it, and the audio description is fabulous. it becomes harder and harder to describe the longer it runs. It is like Dante’s Inferno reimagined by Tim Robinson, where we keep reaching a new ring of absurdity/insanity.

The Morning Show- Man Reese Witherspoon’s character is shoved between a rock and a hard place, and she made a choice. A brutal choice, one that was impossible for her co-host to understand, and will reshape the dynamic moving forward. Bradley really had no choice, and made one.

Nobody Wants this- Jewish Halloween. I actually adore this show. It is settling into a nice rhythm. Maybe it doesn’t have quite as much to say as Season 1, but the cast is still charming, and the writing is still clever. it also has great audio description.

Say Something!
