Fallout- We get closer to the end. There’s a really gory scene involving a decapitated head that is describe well. I don’t remember the drivers license shown earlier in the season specifying Canadian, but that becomes super important here. I thought the date was important. Also, Thaddeus reveals something on his chest, which is bizarre, and I assume described perfectly.
His And Hers- I had a moment, where I questioned if the character named was correct, based on the context of the scene. But, this is VSI I think. Normally their work is solid. Everything else felt fine, including the little details they wanted us to start picking up as it becomes clear this murder is hitting a lot closer to home than either of our leads wanted to admit. A very incestuous mystery lies ahead. I love shows where everyone seems morally ambiguous on some level.
Hijack- No idea why we’re doing another season, but now Idris is on a train. I think most of the cast around him is dubbed. What causes this train to go bezerk, and why has it fallen off radar? I’m sure we’ll find out, and I doubt I’ll care as much as I did in season 1. Sam should be on the outside looking in this time, he can’t just keep having these things happen to him. Give him more of a John McLaine complex, a regular dude with some skills who happens to be near something when shit hits the fan, and jumps in to help. He’s not on the literal plane or train every time.
Ripple- Meh. I know I should feel more, but this feels like a show developed by NBC that was supposed to pair with This Is Us, and just never did. The AD is OK, and even feels like Network audio description. There was a show on Apple, Dear Edward, that had This Is Us vibes. That was better, go check that out.
Emily In Paris- I don’t think I’ve ever loved this, but I keep watching anyway. nice AD as Emily finds a way to let Mindy know how much their friendship means to her… by getting Sylvia to translate it into the worlds weirdest makeup commercial.
