School Spirits- everything has changed, and the mystery has deepened. What’s so interesting is the love triangle that Maddie finds herself in with a ghost, and also her best friend, who now finds himself in a very different situation. I feel like the narrator is different, but I didn’t have a problem with the quality. A nice audio description track that seemed to pick up on the right clues, and the right moments of when something can and cannot be seen.

I Love LA- I’m enjoying this group of millennials as they navigate life. Maya was certainly a bit extra in this episode, especially when she was with her boyfriend, and four other people, two of whom were his parents, one was his ex girlfriend, and she’s wondering who the ex would sleep with of the six of them. A bit obvious, aren’t we? I perhaps wanted a little more in terms of the description of the art/advertising gag they had, only because it becomes such a major focus, and the description felt somewhat cursory.

Squid Game- Man. Was that real? Did Deja really have that happen to her? That wasn’t staged? man, that sucks. The series finishes, almost with a whimper, as Deja’s injury is so random. While I can’t see her pain, it just felt staged. The AD was good, but this show is tough to make sense of as so many people start playing, and I can’t remember who was what number. It just is a difficult watch compared to some other reality shows.

Breaking Bad- hank fights for his life, Jesse is left alone in his new facility, and Walter has to reconcile his life with it affecting his family. Gus really gives the full on creepy vibes at the end, but still somehow makes himself seem (at least to Walt) like nothing more than a friend. The AD here is excellent, and a living tribute to Diane Newman.

Have I Got News For You- Some easy jokes. Last weeks guests were pretty hard to top. Kudos to the show for pulling out an old campaign ad for Bondi where she says she’ll put human traffickers in jail, and stand up for victims of human trafficking. It’s amazing how with nearly everyone in the MAGA house, you can find a contradictory opinion to one they hold now, and they just pretend like giving up their core values is normal. Bondi went from supporting victims to disrespecting them.

Elzabeth- I really wanted more description of the outfit she was wearing when the one lady said she was dressed like a sour patch kid. Sometimes, you have to look for the little moments, and give context. I know it is a modern show, and we don’t think always about what people are wearing, but when someone mentions it, we should try and give it context. Lana Condor guest stars.
