Pluribus- Our feelings haven’t changed for you Carol. We just need a little space. An interesting episode as carol perhaps gets what she wants, but also is conflicted in her realization that she does still need contact, and can’t actually do everything herself. The mystery deepens when she finds a powder they drink, though, part of me wonders what this path is, as these are still human bodies that would need certain nutrients to function. In their efforts to be as efficient as possible, I could see this just being nothing more than their version of a protein shake. The audio description was great, and I’m just assuming we didn’t see anything behind the white tarp. Either that or I had a small stroke right when it was mentioned, and didn’t catch it.
Percy Jackson- The racially ambiguous cast of demigods continue to fight off their foes, as Percy and Annabeth roll up on the island in the Sea Of Monsters, eager to save Grover and Clarice, and get the Golden Fleece. But something stands in their way. I was worried about size relativity a bit, but they tried to describe it in reference to Tyson being half the size of his foe.
The Abandons- It’s not an awful show, but it is terribly boring, and I’m not really sure what the point is. I also just realized it has a far stronger cast than just Gillian Anderson, as I heard Nick Robinson, Lucas Till, and Lena Headey. Kurt Sutter still gets the created by credit. The AD here, by IDC, is solid. the show just is not.
Has Been hotel- I also wish I was a fan of this more. I think I mentioned that before when I watch this, but not every song is a banger, not every joke lands. It could be funnier. I look at this, and I wish it would inherit some of the writers from Schmigadoon.
Bel Air- Finally started the final season. I have no rushes on final seasons when I get backed up, since I can’t save the show anyway. it is what it is. Will is still reeling from his attempted kidnapping, desperate to find Jeffrey, while Aunt Vic has a revelation of her own, and Hilary is caught up in her feelings as a widow with a secret, and feeling guilty, but also responsible for continuing to honor her late husbands memory. Bel Air is such a smart reboot, and I’m sad to see it go. A fresh perspective on a classic sitcom, dramatized and updated perfectly. This kid is no Will Smith, but he certainly has enough dramatic weight to carry the show, and get cast after this. I’ll miss the show. Solid audio description as well.I enjoyed the split screens of Will and Carlton getting ready in the mornings.
