Free Bert- Recently renewed for a second season, Bert is making up with the fancy family he made fun of earlier, while encouraging his daughter to pursue a relationship with the boy he knows medically cannot perform. In terms of the AD, I did think at the opening, when he was trying on multiple shirts, it sounded like he was putting one on over the other, like some bizarre new fashion trend of wearing 4 shirts. But that’s not what was happening.

Wondla- Eva must stop Eight and regain the heart. But she’s very naive, and thinks Eight can still be trusted, which leads to a rather sad sequence with the death of a sky cow (or whatever they are called). Very nice audio description. I liked the mention of Otto smiling. Little things.

Shifting Gears- Turns out, Riley has a brother (Luke McFarlane) who is a career Navy man, and who is having a hard time telling their dad he’s planning on retiring. Riley’s boyfriend (Jesse Williams) also shows everyone that while he may be pretty, he cannot sing. At all. The AD here is always great.

The Fall and Rise Of Reggie Deakins- I liked how the two stories split up, and the ex-wife ended up helping the new wife on her contract negotiations. The AD here is average, for a sitcom. Sometimes it seems to miss a sight gag or two, because it can’t squeeze in the audio description.

School Spirits- This was also just renewed for a fourth season, and considering how batshit crazy this show is getting, I’m struggling to find a reason why it continues forward.Too many ghosts, now there’s some creepy white eyed demon ghost, and if Maddie doesn’t save the school, the ghosts will stay bound here forever if they can’t crossover before, but they don’t control when they cross over. On a side note, we got Jennifer Tilly, so that was something.

The Greatest Average American- The AD has improved since the premiere, slowly becoming more useful. Not great, but better. Any challenge Nate is thrown, he’s really bad at.

The Lincoln Lawyer- Mickey continues to fight for his life, and has a clue about something in Arizona. Trying to get there with a new ankle monitor is a challenge, and mickey does get a new driver also this episode. Lots of things crammed in here actually, as Maggie brings the new boyfriend by. Already renewed for Season 5.

Say Something!
