TV Shows Watched: American Idol: S24E10 (Disney Plus) no audio description, how To Get To Heaven From Belfast: S1E4 (Netflix) with audio description, Shrinking: S3E6 (Apple) with audio description, The Forsyths: S1E2 (PBS) with audio description, Rise Of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: S2E5 (Paramount Plus) with audio description

American Idol- I would say I was surprised by at least one elimination in the cut from 20 to 14, but I couldn’t remember everyone, and I also remember after each night having a hard time figuring out what a solid bottom three would have been. This is one of the most evenly matched crop of contestants ever. If I had to send two people home from the top 14, it would be Jesse, whose rendition of God Bless The Broken Road was not nearly as special as it needed to be, and perhaps Hannah, who strugggles when not allowed to perform her own music. Hannah has her string cheese fans, but I’m not sure what would be powering Jesse to the Top 12, since he also performed early, but not first. Often those first couple performances can be quickly forgotten.

How To Get To Heaven From Belfast- Sometimes a fun series, it certainly had an explosive and surprising ending.

Shrinking- I feel like Sherry Cola is going to break my heart. I also am worried about a certain character surviving the season beyond her. I might be crying in the finale. The AD here is uneventful, but I try not to harp on it because I know the format is tough, but even with that, I still think it isn’t living up to its potential.

The Forsyths- media Access is doing some nice AD here, I’m just not the guy to ask about this show. Shows like this, The Guilded Age, and Downton Abbey bore the hell out of me. sorry. This is losing me, even though I think I’m in the 1 out of 10, with the other 9 loving it.

Rise Of The teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles- I’m loving all the cameos from other mutamils I remember from my childhood. Donatello is the lead here, as the mutants try to force him to help them. The AD here is pretty good. Considering Paramount is still working on a sequel to Mutant Mayhem, it is so weird this show got an axe.
