Marisa Ramirez promoted to series regular on ‘Blue Bloods’

Marisa Ramirez, who joined the show last season, has been promoted to series regular on Blue Bloods. She plays Danny’s (Donnie Wahlberg) partner. She was one of three potential girls who could have taken the spot vacated controversially by Jennifer Esposito, who was let go after Season 2, and has claimed she was forced out because she has Celiac Disease. Ramirez has also been seen on Body Of Proof and Against The Wall. Continue reading Marisa Ramirez promoted to series regular on ‘Blue Bloods’

Dan Harmon returning to ‘Community’

According to Dan Harmon himself, via his Twitter, he will be returning to Community, and according to the studio, final deals are just being smoothed out. This is great news for fans of the show, who may have felt the show lacked in quality last season without Dan at the helm. Interestingly, in his tweet, he said for fans to thank Joel McHale. Did Joel throw his star power around and get Dan rehired? I would think that there is no “throwing around” for a show that just barely got renewed. USA Passes On ‘Happy Endings’

If you need me, I’ll be in my kitchen eating all of my ice cream. In what is heartbreaking news for me, one of the biggest fans of Happy Endings, USA has decided not to pick up the sitcom, citing low ratings as a reason. The rabid fanbase is pushing Sony to help find it a new home, perhaps on Amazon, which just ordered two new comedies. This is totally not ah-mah-zing news. American Idol Tour Cancels Dates

Is this the beginning of the end? The American Idol tour has cancelled the first leg of the tour, cancelling all stop before July 19th. They will no longer be coming to Las Vegas, St Louis, Tulsa, Kansas City, St. Louis, and Minneapolis among other cities. St Louis is an especially hard cancel, being that it was the hometown for Top 10 contestant Curtis Finch (and people might have actually show up to see him). Candice Glover’s winners single has only sold 71K in three weeks. These singles used to go platinum. This is definitely the beginning of the end. Continue reading American Idol Tour Cancels Dates

Why God, Why? Ridley Scott confirms Blade Runner 2

In a shocking move, there will be a Blade Runner 2, and Ridley Scott is directing it. Michael Green, who just rewrote Robopocalypse, is set to write it. That cry you hear is the death of a thousand fanboys, who can’t imagine what a sequel to a movie that is over 30 years old will be like. Probably, awful. At least, I suppose, we should be thankful it isn’t a reboot starring Colin Farrell. Continue reading Why God, Why? Ridley Scott confirms Blade Runner 2

Blake Shelton’s ‘Healing In The Heartland’ raises 6 million for Oklahoma

Blake Shelton’s concert for charity raised 6 million for the survivors of the tornado that ripped through a suburb of Oklahoma City. The proceeds went directly to the United Way of Central Oklahoma. The Replacements (16 People Who Almost Snagged Iconic Roles)

Just caught this article (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/05/24/ryan-gosling-hugh-jackman-drive_n_3328690.html?icid=maing-grid7|maing7|dl13|sec1_lnk3%26pLid%3D318270)  and felt like relaying that info here. Did you know that… Jim Carrey was originally considered for Pirates of the Caribbean, but it would have conflicted with Bruce Almighty. Hugh Jackman was originally supposed to be the Driver in Drive. Everyone knows Ryan Gosling has a bromance with the director. Jackman was only originally considered when Neil Marshall was tapped to direct the film. Sean Connery was originally offered the part of Gandalf in Lord Of The Rings. It would have been Connery’s last role, had he been forced to do all three Rings films. … Continue reading The Replacements (16 People Who Almost Snagged Iconic Roles)
