Well, NBC has opted to not renew American Auto after all. Looks like a solid victim of the writers strike, as they needed to either extend contracts at the end of the month, or cancel. Well, some good news dropped for two shows. Netflix went ahead and gave XO Kitty a second season, and Apple has officially renewed Silo. CBS already is talking about not being worried about next season as they have Paramount Plus shows to rely on. Meanwhile, since today is Wednesday, in the middle of June, I feel the need to point out that this is when ABC has decided to drop the second season of The Wonder Years. Clearly, it’s a burn off. Well, the cancellation monster arrived at NBC yesterday and got rid of young Roc and Grand Crew. I believe that leaves only American Auto on the bubble. Meanwhile, ABC passed on all remaining pilots except The Good lawyer, which remains on the bubble with The Rookie Feds and Home Economics. Well, Showtime just cancelled a show that premiered over a year ago. I think we all saw that coming. I’m not sure there’s a ton of TV news, aside from the fact that the DGA signed a new contract, leaving the WGA and SAG as being the two still left.
