Two big new shows dropped yesterday. Also, Hulu, which just brought back moonlighting, announced the return of LA Law in November (not the remake). So AMPTPA walked away from SAG talks all pissy, because SAG didn’t make the deal. look, the studios had a lot of way more specific deals to iron out with SAG than the WGA and DGA, and saying you offered them the same deal is impossible. Did you commit to having hairstylists on set who are able to properly style ethnic hair? Did you guarantee the safety of extras on set? It’s not TV news, but I’m pretty excited that michael Mann’s next movie is Heat 2. I’m less excited that he’s expressing interest in Adam Driver. part of what made the first film so great was that it put Pacino against DeNiro, and there just really isn’t anyone for Driver to go up against. While I’m unfamiliar with the screenplay, I think you have to go with some kind of pairing that is relative to that experience. My second streaming service to get the treatment this year. I did Peacock last weekend, and now MAX. I plan on trying to fill the list with films that have audio description, but if i can’t hit 10 titles, I will fill in at the end, with some great movies that don’t have audio description but probably should. I don’t know how I missed the drama, but Starz apparently cancelled Heels, and almost immediately removed the show from its service. Looks like iCarly is going away again as paramount Plus has axed the reboot after 3 seasons.
