The Bad Guys

Where I Watched It: Peacock English Audio description Available?: Yes Provided By: Media Access Group Narrated By: Ms. Page Dreamworks Animation has been around for quite a while since entering the market as a legitimate competitor to Disney back in the 90’s. Since that time, they’ve been responsible for launching several major franchises that have delighted fans, and have sold a ton of merchandise. But the studio that Shrek built is no longer operating under Dreamworks as a distributor, but under the larger banner of the Comcast/NBC/Universal brand, where they share the same breath and airspace as illumination. Why am … Continue reading The Bad Guys

The Too Much TV Roundup- July 2nd

No more running up that hill. At least, not until the final season of Stranger Things drops, which I’m assuming is a two year wait. 1) Stranger Things (Netflix) English Audio Description Available?: Yes Yes, I finished. 2:22 later. Sweet baby Jesus. That was a long episode. And honestly, for all the hoopla online about who was going to die, based on some rumors that death was upon us, I felt underwhelmed. But, jsut as I did with Dr Strange, I separated the episode itself from the hype machine around it, and looked at it for what it was. An … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- July 2nd

The Too Much TV Roundup- July 1st

Well, Netflix decided today was the day for us to watch some Stranger Things. Episode 8 was an hour and a half, and episode nine is roughly two and a half hours when i tackle that. 1) The Boys (Amazon) English Audio Description Available?: Yes in a day that put The Boys versus Stranger Things, The Boys won handily. I love both shows, but the 7th episode of The Boys, much like every other episode this season, found a new way to inject something we hadn’t previously seen. It feels like The Boys showrunners are consistently being dared to do … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- July 1st

The Too Much TV Roundup- June 28th

When it’s your birthday, what shows do you pick out? Do you pick out all winners? I feel pretty good about my assortment of shows. 1) Ozark (Netflix) English Audio Description Available?: Yes One thing is for sure. I’m going to miss the hell out of this show. What a clusterfuck this episode was in a brilliant way. Wendy spent so much time trying to do her usual maneuvering to try and get Mel out of the picture so he couldn’t testify in her custody hearing, but it was all for naught. Meanwhile, maybe she’s starting to see what Marty … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- June 28th

The Too Much TV Roundup- June 27th

Not as consistent of a day as I had the day before, but still some really good shows out there to be watched. At least a few anyway. 1) Better Call Saul (AMC/Netflix) English Audio Description Available?: Yes I am now at the point of a conundrum. I just wrapped what remained on Netflix, which contains audio description. Now, I can break into the 6th and final season on AMC, and try to go without audio description… or I can wait a godforsaken length of time for that to hit Netflix. But the Season 5 finale, which played with a … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- June 27th

Directed By: Simon Curtis Where I Watched it: Peacock English Audio Description Available?: Yes Just What Exactly is This Thing About?: The cast of Downton Abbey enters a new era, against all probabilities, because the last film made a ton of money. The Too Much TV Roundup- June 26th

A near perfect day of TV show watching. If only The Offer could nail those impressions. 1) Girls5Eva (Peacock) English Audio description Available?: Yes The Girls take on different challenges, but what gets served up most is now that Summer is single again, her parents are rolling back into town to protect her purity. But, when she learns her parents haven’t always been so… pure, will she keep her pledge? Episode Grade: A 2) Undone (Amazon) English Audio Description Available?: Yes I really enjoyed Season 1, and I just assumed I’d never see it again. The Too Much TV Roundup- June 26th

I have nothing snarky to start this post today. Really. I don’t. 1) Hacks (HBo MAX) English Audio Description Available?: Yes This show is continued brilliance. This episode saw the gang at a state fair, and I don’t know which moment was funnier. Seeing Ava choke on one vitamin, or her comment about the 800 dollar pair of shoes that she knew would help get that Susan lady some serious commission. Great episode. Episode Grade: A 2) Breeders (FX/hulu) English Audio Description Available?: No I need to sit down in a room with the Emmy voters. We have to talk … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- June 26th

Directed By: Mike Judge Where I Watched It: Paramount Plus English Audio Description Available?: Yes The Plot: Picking up where we kinda sorta last saw them, Beavis and Butthead are still very much on a mission to score. But also, this time, they are on a mission to space. Because, why not? What Works: I can remember being in high school and trying to find ways to watch Beavis and Butthead. My local cable provider shockingly didn’t carry MTV, so … Continue reading Beavis and Butthead Do The Universe

The Too Much TV Roundup- June 23rd

Once again, I managed to squeeze in Episode 5 of this strange new limited series about the end of democracy. I don’t recognize any of the actors, and it’s airing on multiple channels, and it doesn’t have audio description. But here are some other programs… 1) Ozark (Netflix) English Audio Description Available?: Yes As I inch closer to the finale, I realize more and more that I will not be getting the ending to this show that I need. You know that Dark Knight quote? You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- June 23rd
