Hot Frosty (Netflix)- Will Lacey Chabert Hook Up With A Snowman Before It’s Too Late? Quick Take: Lacey Chabert brings her Christmas magic to Netflix, and Netflix is very confused. In what should have been a hilarious send up of all those basic Christmas films hallmark/Lifetime/Great American Family push out every year, it falls prey to a lack of imagination, and casting an underwhelming male lead. Hollywood loves to pair people who we generally assume shouldn’t be around children with kids. This has been true for Hulk Hogan (Mr Nanny, Suburban Commando), Arnold Schwarzenegger (Kindergarten Cop), Vin Diesel (The Pacifier), and even comedians like Eddie Murphy (Daddy Day Care), Jack Black (School Of Rock), and Adam Sandler (Big Daddy). Well, the wrong costume won The Masked Singer. Not the one I was rooting for, although, when the winner was revealed, I can’t say that’s a bad person to have on top. Also, Starz is seemingly trying to just turn into the Power network. After rapidly cancelling Heels earlier this year, and recently announcing the upcoming 3rd season of Hightower will be its last, they just cancelled Shining Veil. The Marvels box office is not just reflective of Marvel fatigue, but also the impact of the strike. Two of the films lead characters are being played by rising stars from Disney plus shows, and were unable to promote the film. I just saw some encouraging news for fans of Twisted Metal. The debut of that series (which I will start soon) is considered to be Peacock’s most watched comedy original thus far. So if you wanted a second season, there’s a good chance.
