The Small Screen Diaries- 02/13/24

Happy Valentine’s Day! For this Valentine’s I got you some TV News to start your day. Apple has renewed Invasion for a 3rd season, while Netflix has picked up Survival Of The Thickest for a second season. The latter of the two took way too long, and must have come down to a budgeting wire. I am shockingly still with Boy Swallows The Universe (Netflix), which is actually better once you get past the pilot. Still, it’s a very odd show, but the 4th episode continues with the boys trying to adapt to living with their estranged alcoholic father, wanting … Continue reading The Small Screen Diaries- 02/13/24

It’s been so long since any news that I was not shocked that Wolf Pack was cancelled by Paramount Plus after one season. I kinda already thought it had been. Especially with Paramount going through a much reported mass firing shortly. Fool Me Once (Netflix) I see is still trending in Netflix’s top 10. So if there’s a fact you don’t like, you can pick another. Don’t like that Diana Nyad is a swimmer? She’s not. She’s actually a 15th century … Continue reading Nyad

The Replacements (16 People Who Almost Snagged Iconic Roles)

Just caught this article (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/05/24/ryan-gosling-hugh-jackman-drive_n_3328690.html?icid=maing-grid7|maing7|dl13|sec1_lnk3%26pLid%3D318270)  and felt like relaying that info here. Did you know that… Jim Carrey was originally considered for Pirates of the Caribbean, but it would have conflicted with Bruce Almighty. Hugh Jackman was originally supposed to be the Driver in Drive. Everyone knows Ryan Gosling has a bromance with the director. Jackman was only originally considered when Neil Marshall was tapped to direct the film. Sean Connery was originally offered the part of Gandalf in Lord Of The Rings. It would have been Connery’s last role, had he been forced to do all three Rings films. … Continue reading The Replacements (16 People Who Almost Snagged Iconic Roles)
