Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire

Theoretically, there is life in a franchise like ghostbusters, as the concept is pretty basic. Four guys with varying personalities use their ghost hunting tech to save the world. But, this has been really hard to pull off. Even Ghostbusters II, featuring the original cast lacks a little bit of that magic. I actually liked the remake with the ladies, but most people don’t. Then, Ghostbusters: Afterlife had fun with blending the old and new, and riding that nostalgia train. Fine. But what do you do next? inexplicably, everyone seemed to move to the Big Apple. They were all out … Continue reading Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire

Migration

Illumination has struck again, much like the flock of geese struck that airplane Sully was flying. Migration is one of those animated films that follows the formula set by other films like it, but it isn’t sure where to make good choices. The end result is like playing Duck Hunt and missing all your shots. I skipped the theatrical release and waited for Peacock. I’m proud of that choice. He’s always been afraid his whole life of leaving … Continue reading Migration

The Too Much TV Roundup- 11/21/23

Well, I said, and I’ll say it again, the post-strike cancellation wave is still bashing us. It likely will take a break for Turkey Day, but not before Disney Plus could axe The Muppets Mayhem. In fact, on the film side, rumor has it that they are trying to sell off The Bike Riders. Not sure why, as that played fairly well at the festivals, but whatever. in other cancellation news, Melissa Barrera was fired from the new Scream 7 for having the audacity to tweet. No apologies required, the Scream franchise has so many surviving characters alive right now, … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 11/21/23

The Too Much TV Roundup- 07/23/23

I read that George RR Martin’s deal with HBo has been suspended, and I wonder why. Is he a member of the WGA? There’s another GOT show in early development, and i would think they’d still need him for house of The Dragon, which I last heard was still shooting in England. 13) Skull Island (Netflix) English Audio Description?: Yes Status: Not yet Renewed This one for me just comes down to the voice cast, and what is this show trying to do, and what does it want to be? I felt that Jurassic World: camp Cretaceous managed to have … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 07/23/23
