The Parenting (MAX)- This Movie Feels Tailor Made For Me It is always a cabin in the woods. No one ever rents a haunted condo in Fort Lauderdale on a timeshare. It is always something oddly rustic in these horror movies. Analyze This: 25th Anniversary- DeNiro And Crystal Still Pair Well Together Quick Take: Not everything needs a sequel, and this Billy Crystal/Robert DeNiro comedy got one anyway, but the first film was magic. It took what makes each one of these actors great, and just leaned in. Of course DeNiro plays a mob boss. That’s his thing. The fact that I’m hearing that the SAG AMPTA negotiations are being held up over AI really tells me all I need to know about the studios positions. I do hope SAG does not waiver on their counter to many of the terrible ideas these studios were proposing, including owning an actors likeness in perpetuity, simply because they showed up as an extra for one day. Well, that was a lot faster the next time around. Friday The 13th was a very unlucky day for one show. Apple pulled the plug on The After Party after two seasons. I’m not really sure why. It always baffles me when a show I see having a strong social media presence among the people in my feed gets cancelled, because it seems so rare that they ever bother to post about shows. but, while the new season was running, I had friends who were really into it. After The Other Two dropped their big bomb yesterday, Reservation Dogs followed them with the exact same announcement, that the 3rd season will be it’s last. I remember when most shows wanted to hit season 4 because it put syndication into play, but with shows no longer running 22 episode seasons, there’s no need for that.
