I haven’t watched it yet, but the new Rick and Morty voice cast premiered last night. Also, I truthfully decided to start watching Step By Step after noticing it on FreeVee, and a few hours later I saw Suzanne Somers died. I’m very weirded out about how that worked out. 9) 9) Fright Crew (Hulu) English Audio Description?: Yes Status: Unknown Eli Roth produced this 10 episode animated show aimed at… I’m not really sure. Your TV news for the day is that the upcoming 3rd season of Vikings: Valhalla will be its last. 11) The Continental (Peacock) English Audio Description?: Yes Status: Limited Thank God this is behind me. I was so over this show. Mel Gibson really gave his all to an unredeemable villain, but as far as the rest goes, this feels nothing like the franchise from which it was adapted. it has so much dialogue, it almost feels like a more violent TV adaptation of oceans 11. Final Grade: C- 10) Trophy Wife (hulu) English Audio Description?: No Status: Ended The … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 10/07/23

RIP Dumbledore. I loved both Richard Harris and Michael Gambon’s takes on Dumbledore, and since there is virtually nothing worth discussing in the world of TV and Film news, I’ll use my preamble area to mention the passing of Michael Gambon. 11) Alias (Disney Plus) English Audio Description?: No Status: Ended Come on Disney! Put some audio description on it! This show always has some kind of action sequence set to music. As much as I love this show, it’s hard to keep ranking it dead last as unwatchable all the time because it is an action show with scenes … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup: 09/28/23

HBO wasted zero time in cancelling Winning Time at the same time (I’m saying time a lot this time aren’t I?) as the season finale, which is now a series finale. I had a feeling this was going to happen, since the shows creator was begging for viewers on Twitter. 8) The White King (MGM Plus) English Audio Description?: No Status: Not Yet Renewed I have no idea what this show is about. It’s incredibly slow, very serious, has some medieval fighting sequences, and I guess royal drama? There was one good scene where the King admonished the Lords who … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 09/17/23

I wonder what social media is going to do to all the actors who wrote in letters of support for Danny Masterson. It’s not a great look right now for several of his former cast mates, as well as some random names like Giovanni Ribisi and Jonathan Tucker. i think what is truly telling is that not all of the cast did write letters. Topher Grace, Laura Prepon, and Wilmer Valderrama apparently had better sense. 10) Justified (Hulu) English Audio Description?: No Status: Revival Recently Ended Season 3 finale. Well, Disney Plus decided to ditch another show. So, Bob Iger complains that the Marvel shows are detracting from the films, but he seems intent on getting rid of the rest of the content. So what exactly will Disney Plus be making? Is he preparing for a Hulu merger where Disney Plus will be making The Handmaid’s Tale? Either way, Nautilus is now dead as a series. 9) Family Matters (MAX) English Audio Description?: Yes Status: Ended In the beginning, Urkel is worked into plots in the weirdest way possible. not that it’s necessarily relevant, but have I mentioned how much I love the song The Devil Went Down To Georgia? I guess I’ve just got Georgia On my Mind. (When there are strikes happening, apparently TV news is really non-existent) 9) Trophy Wife (Hulu) English Audio Description?: No Status: Ended I actually like this show, and I feel bad when it ends up on the bottom, simply because I didn’t watch as many shows. I know a one-and-done like this likely will never get audio description, but this show deserved more than 1 season. Episode Grade: B 8) Justified … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 08/14/23

I just saw some encouraging news for fans of Twisted Metal. The debut of that series (which I will start soon) is considered to be Peacock’s most watched comedy original thus far. So if you wanted a second season, there’s a good chance. Then again, FOX did cancel and ship off their most watched series because it was too expensive, so there’s that. 13) 8 Simple Rules (Disney Plus) English Audio Description?: No Status: Ended Considering a large chunk of what makes this episode funny is some physical comedy from john Ritter, I’d say his storyline didn’t work for me. … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 08/09/23

I so rarely get TV news. Two stories in one day! First, Deadline has reported that the Emmy Awards are moving from September to an undetermined date in January. This means while other shows will likely be rewarding the current seasons of shows like The Bear and Only Murders in The Building, the Emmys are still rewarding the past earlier seasons. Also, HBo has renewed The Righteous Gemstones! 11) Dinosaurs (Disney plus) English Audio Description?: No Status: Ended Robbie likes a girl and takes dating advice from his dad, and some new kid Spike, who sounds like he’s being voiced … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 07/27/23

NBC announced some solid news items yesterday. Apparently, they were the only smart network, and actually have episodes banked. So, in the fall, new episodes of Magnum PI, Quantum Leap, and two new dramas, Found, and The Irrational will be airing opposite reality shows and reruns from other networks. 12) The Golden Girls (Hulu) English Audio Description?: Yes Status: Ended I’m not going to deep dive this episode, but the direct answer is that this episode wouldn’t exist in todays landscape. So, SAG is on strike. It’s a great time to catch up on a show, since most of the shows haven’t been shooting, and now even more of them won’t be. I’ve heard some overseas productions are still filming. I’m not sure how. But they are MAX projects, including House Of The Dragon. 15) The Muppets Mayhem (Disney Plus) English Audio Description?: Yes Status: Not Yet Renewed Now, I really want Peter Jackson to direct a Muppets movie. For those who don’t understand how amazing this would be, it’s not because of his Beatles thing on Disney Plus. Let’s just … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 07/13/23

Remember, we are just a few days away from SAG-AFTRA going on strike. There are people currently still working, and those people would stop. I can’t think of that many things that wouldn’t be in reruns. Take The View for example. Whoopi is definitely a SAG member. They’ve dodged the WGAA strike, but they wouldn’t be able to dodge this one. And I highly doubt she’s the only member with a SAG card, as Sarah Haynes hosts The Chase. 13) Dinosaurs (Disney Plus) English Audio Description?: No Status: Ended The only thing worse than a clip show, is a season … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 07/08/23
