I did not get to watch as much yesterday, as I spent a while on the phone with Hulu trying to figure out why my Continue Watching/My Stuff disappeared. It’s a known issue, and they can’t help you. Not a huge list of titles, but I did spend a bulk of the day at a theatre watching Oppenheimer (review coming soon). RIP Paul Reubens. Such an unexpected blow. For a lot of people my age, he really helped to shape our childhoods. His Playhouse was a magnificent ball of fun, and his movies certainly were head scratchers for critics, but not kids. It’s a slow news day, but you know how all the streaming services have these random films that didn’t do well at the box office, or were even theatrically released, and were made years ago? I so rarely get TV news. Two stories in one day! First, Deadline has reported that the Emmy Awards are moving from September to an undetermined date in January. This means while other shows will likely be rewarding the current seasons of shows like The Bear and Only Murders in The Building, the Emmys are still rewarding the past earlier seasons. It’s kind of amazing how sloe the TV news is during the strike.
