And, I once again considered revival, but they haven’t added audio description to the next episode, so I’m in a standoff. It’s a standoff that is close to me giving up and throwing up a review on Rotten … Continue reading The Small Screen Diaries: 08/09/25

RIP Dumbledore. I loved both Richard Harris and Michael Gambon’s takes on Dumbledore, and since there is virtually nothing worth discussing in the world of TV and Film news, I’ll use my preamble area to mention the passing of Michael Gambon. 11) Alias (Disney Plus) English Audio Description?: No Status: Ended Come on Disney! Put some audio description on it! This show always has some kind of action sequence set to music. As much as I love this show, it’s hard to keep ranking it dead last as unwatchable all the time because it is an action show with scenes … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup: 09/28/23

The Dancing With The Stars drama is getting real. A quick update for those who are out of the loop. Dancing With The Stars currently has its contestants in rehearsal for the upcoming season. The WGA has been picketing these rehearsals, and putting pressure specifically on SAG members Alyson Hannigan, Mira Sorvino, and Matt Walsh. The pressure was enough that ABC is mulling pushing back the premiere, as Walsh has caved and paused his participation with the show. However! Turns out, SAG is the honey badger in this scenario, and they told the WGA “We give zero fucks what you … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 09/21/23

Here’s the thing I don’t get. The Drew Barrymore show is being picketed, because Drew decided to go back to work, but Whoopi is on the View, and obviously a member of SAG since she’s still acting. So, why is Whoopi allowed to work on a talk show but Drew is not? Make it make sense. 8) Designing Women (ABC) English Audio Description?: No Status: Ended Someone really needs the Suzanne special touch when it comes to some beauty tips, or styling tips, but Delta Burke isn’t so sure she wants to give away trade secrets. I bet it just got a little more awkward for those of you rewatching That 70’s Show. Just a little bit? 10) Outlander (Starz) English Audio Description?: No Status: Final Season I’ve caught up with Season 7. Mistress Fraser is currently in jail for her supposed murder that I couldn’t tell had happened in Season 6, because there’s no audio description. There’s more context given here, and when the more likely murderer confesses, I understood more of it. But there were still lots of questions. Was she on a boat? Is that boat just not moving? Was that another time … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 09/07/23

Well, Hulu rocked the internet with the cancellation of The Great. Just me posting that on my personal facebook feed got more comments than anything I’ve posted in the past month. People are irate to say the least. I’m not really sure what that decision was, to not announce a final season, but it’s a very bizarre call for a streamer about to raise their prices. in other TV news, the Lincoln Lawyer was picked up officially by Netflix for Season 3, which I’m not surprised by at all. 12) Outlander (Starz) English Audio Description?: No Status: Final Season Still … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 08/30/23

I kinda mentioned how the season finale of Doogie Kamaloha felt like a series finale with her not choosing either of the guys, and instead choosing herself. Disney Plus has cancelled the show. I think we all knew they would. It’s a shame, because they have such a hard time launching a new series that isn’t Marvel or Star Wars. Doogie joins a couple other Disney Plus shows that only get to a second season, including The Mysterious Benedict Society, The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, Diary Of A Future President, and Big Shot. Since its inception, the only two shows … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 08/25/23

Well, new seasons of Fargo and Chucky were both given fall premiere launch dates. So if the Networks are boring you to death with their strike filler, you can check those out. 10) Outlander (Starz) English Audio Description?: No Status: Final Season Still doing my Season 6 rewatch, and i remember being frustrated with the episode the last time. This is the one where Jamie believes he cheated on Claire while she was ill, and there’s a dead family from dysentery. There’s just a lot of stuff happening in this episode that doesn’t make sense to a blind viewer, and … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 08/17/23

I just saw some encouraging news for fans of Twisted Metal. The debut of that series (which I will start soon) is considered to be Peacock’s most watched comedy original thus far. So if you wanted a second season, there’s a good chance. Then again, FOX did cancel and ship off their most watched series because it was too expensive, so there’s that. 13) 8 Simple Rules (Disney Plus) English Audio Description?: No Status: Ended Considering a large chunk of what makes this episode funny is some physical comedy from john Ritter, I’d say his storyline didn’t work for me. … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 08/09/23

I did not get to watch as much yesterday, as I spent a while on the phone with Hulu trying to figure out why my Continue Watching/My Stuff disappeared. It’s a known issue, and they can’t help you. My shows do not know where I am, and I really can’t remember, and it’s not storing the information. Don’t expect a lot of Hulu reviews from me until this is fixed. Though, there is one Hulu show on my list today. 9) Mad Men (AMC Plus) English Audio Description?: No Status: Ended i realized what happened, I think, though i still … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 08/02/23

It’s kind of amazing how sloe the TV news is during the strike. It’s almost like all of the various streamers are angry at their shows, and can’t pick any of them up for another season. of course, they also can’t negotiate contracts with the actors, so there’s that too. 11) Skull Island (Netflix) English Audio Description?: Yes Status: Unknown I think I keep hoping for that perfect magic that Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous gave me, but Skull Island is struggling to give me that balance. NBC announced some solid news items yesterday. Apparently, they were the only smart network, and actually have episodes banked. So, in the fall, new episodes of Magnum PI, Quantum Leap, and two new dramas, Found, and The Irrational will be airing opposite reality shows and reruns from other networks. 12) The Golden Girls (Hulu) English Audio Description?: Yes Status: Ended I’m not going to deep dive this episode, but the direct answer is that this episode wouldn’t exist in todays landscape.
