Following up on my earlier post about The Great, there are rumors that HBo is looking at picking up the show, as some major stars were already rumored to be joining the Season 4 cast, and the show was apparently in pre-production. Little birds were telling me Jonathan Groff and Laura Linney would have appeared in Season 4. Will HBO save The Great? Not TV news, but Dune pt 2 has vacated 2023 due to the strike and the inability to successfully launch a promotional campaign. That leaves some gaps in the Oscar race. Well, new seasons of Fargo and Chucky were both given fall premiere launch dates. It is that time. Once again, I have no significant news. Someone needs to renew something for crying out loud. 14) Painkiller (Netflix) English Audio Description?: Yes Status: Limited I’m trying to keep an open mind here, but DopeSick was so good that this really needed to be terrific too. While I watch these older shows, I can’t help but think how much better they would be with audio description, and I want a world where we also prioritize the back catalog of TV shows as well as films. After a day of some interesting news, the best thing I’ve got for you this morning is that hulu has cancelled Up Here after 1 season. We have some news finally out of comic con. In The Walking Dead Universe, The Walking Dead: Dead City and Daryl Dixon both have gotten second season pickups. Meanwhile, Amazon was able to run a promo for the upcoming second season of Invincible, and Peacock showed off the upcoming John Wick spinoff The Continental, which was originally being developed at Starz.
