A tentative deal has been reached between the studios and the writers. The details have yet to be made public, but should be shortly as the membership has to vote on it. An official vote by leadership happens on Tuesday, which will solidify this a bit more, and possibly allow some writers to return to work. HBO wasted zero time in cancelling Winning Time at the same time (I’m saying time a lot this time aren’t I?) as the season finale, which is now a series finale. It is that time. Once again, I have no significant news. Someone needs to renew something for crying out loud. 14) Painkiller (Netflix) English Audio Description?: Yes Status: Limited I’m trying to keep an open mind here, but DopeSick was so good that this really needed to be terrific too. I gotta be honest and say, that while i realize this strike is keeping people from working, I 100% support it until at least the studios give up on abusing the use of AI. honestly, I’m loving catching up on shows, and rewatching them. Not sure I have any mind blowing TV news.Oh, it would appear there is a new episode of invincible on Prime for anyone who missed out on that push notification yesterday. It’s amazing how many people out there have no problem consuming the work of the SAG and WGA but are complaining now because they think actors are little babies. While streaming residuals are a factor, since syndication and linear viewing are down, it is not the only factor. The use of AI technology is a key factor in both guilds. The writers do not want AI to be a credited screenwriter taking over their job, nor do the SAG want AI images of them used in perpetuity. Remember, we are just a few days away from SAG-AFTRA going on strike. There are people currently still working, and those people would stop. I can’t think of that many things that wouldn’t be in reruns. Take The View for example. Whoopi is definitely a SAG member.
