While not TV news, I am always looking around the inter webz for Oscar thoughts, and I do love the people predicting the Oscars who acknowledge that it’s weird that everyone is predicting the same things. I know, which is why I’m actually trying not to. This time last year, we had Tom Cruise and Hugh Jackman as frontrunners. MAX is sticking with And Just Like That, picking up the series for a third season. Well, Amazon done gone and pissed me the hell off. be careful what you wish for kids, because sometimes you get TV news. Amazon, in an effort to endear themselves with their subscribers, has reversed their second season renewals on both The Peripheral and A League of Their Own. RIP Paul Reubens. Such an unexpected blow. For a lot of people my age, he really helped to shape our childhoods. His Playhouse was a magnificent ball of fun, and his movies certainly were head scratchers for critics, but not kids. It’s funny how that last episode of Silo that I reviewed yesterday felt so much like a Season Finale, and so many streaming shows cap at 8, I just thought that was the finale. Apparently not. Hah. I had a fun little day with some great shows. I feel like overall Thursday’s crop was stronger than Wednesday’s. 1) Reacher (Amazon) English Audio Description Available?: Yes This show is addictive. in Episode 6, every episode has some heart pumping action, and intense sequences.
