I gotta be honest and say, that while i realize this strike is keeping people from working, I 100% support it until at least the studios give up on abusing the use of AI. honestly, I’m loving catching up on shows, and rewatching them. I so rarely get TV news. Two stories in one day! First, Deadline has reported that the Emmy Awards are moving from September to an undetermined date in January. This means while other shows will likely be rewarding the current seasons of shows like The Bear and Only Murders in The Building, the Emmys are still rewarding the past earlier seasons. NBC announced some solid news items yesterday. Apparently, they were the only smart network, and actually have episodes banked. It’s funny how that last episode of Silo that I reviewed yesterday felt so much like a Season Finale, and so many streaming shows cap at 8, I just thought that was the finale. Apparently not. Hah. I’ve been deep diving a bit more into the SAG-AFTRA talks and some of the stuff they’re requesting isn’t unreasonable. Actually, none of it is. Just take some of these CEO salaries, lower them, and you’ll have the money to pay for some of this stuff. Also, for the poor people without cable or Peacock, Yellowstone is coming to CBS in the fall since they are a little short on new programming. Add to that, the UK version of Ghosts, which I’m at least interested in checking out.
