Starring: Tyler Labine, Damon Wayans Jr, Hayes MacArthur, Thomas Middleditch, Lucy Punch, Ed Helms
Directed By: Rob Pearlstein
I’m all for furthering the careers of Labine, Wayans Jr, and Punch. They’re super funny actors. MacArthur is growing on me. But this Thomas Middleditch guy? I realize some people might like him… and maybe he was just awful in this movie… but I wouldn’t cast him again after watching this. He’s the Justin Bartha of this wolf pack, but with half the charisma of Justin Bartha.
The problem here is that this is basically a quiet version of The Hangover. It’s like someone said what if the Hangover crew just stayed at home, hated Zach Galafanakis, and tried to marry him off. Boring.
This movie is really slow, for a comedy. I don’t think it helped anyones career. This movie died onto Netflix streaming. It skipped theatres. Everyone in this film has been better in something else.
The movie is more frustrating when you watch actors you like stuck in the film from hell.
A waste of time.
