‘Stalker’ Premieres OK, ‘Black-ish’ Dips

Stalker closed out the CBS lineup with 9.1M and a 2.0 in the demo, or about the same ratings that CSI was doing in that timeslot last year. Considering Criminal Minds was the lead in with 11.5M and a 2.7 in the demo, Stalker did fall a bit. It did beat both Nashville and Chicago PD though, in total viewers and in the demo. Survivor opened the night for CBS with 9.5M and 2.4 in the demo.

ABC’s lineup was solid. The Middle (7.1M/1.9), The Goldbergs (6.7M/2.2), Modern Family (10M/3.5), and Black-ish (8M/2.5) led into Nashville (5.2M/1.5). Black-ish was down a bit, but not enough to alert the cancellation robots yet. It is still outpacing everything from last year.

NBC went with Mysteries Of Laura (8.9M/1.4), SVU (7.8M/1.8), and Chicago PD (6.7M/1.6). If NBC is OK with the low demo numbers for Mysteries Of Laura, it is their most watched show of the night. I could see NBC going with a full season of the Debra Messing show before making any big decisions.

FOX had Hell’s Kitchen (3.8M/1.4) and Red Band Society (3.3M/1.1). Red Band isn’t going to get an extra episode order, and is officially “on notice” for pending cancellation. FOX may let the episodes run dry, but this show is dead.
