Well, after 17 years, Rachel Ray’s Daytime talk show is ending. Crazy. I feel like maybe I saw it once or twice. I’m not a big daytime TV person. Also, RIP Tom Sizemore. Yes, he struggled with addiction, so people have some thoughts on the internet, but he was a great and reliable character actor, and that’s the person I will remember.
8) Chicago Party Aunt (Netflix)
English Audio Description?: Yes
I actually started this episode, and then after a few minutes, it lost me. Technically the whole thing ran, but I wasn’t engaged. It might be time to drop this one from my lineup.

7) Star Wars: The Bad Batch (Disney plus)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Running this at the same time as The Mandalorian really just made me realize the difference in quality. There was this scene where a laser bursts out of the top of a mountain, and I feel like I’ve seen that before… but I can’t figure out where.
Episode Grade: C+
6) The Rookie: Feds (ABC/Hulu)
English Audio Description?: Yes
OMG This episode featured so many moments where they were trying to add extra little things into the story specific to the Feds cast, since they spent the bulk of the episode trying to wrap up this Elijah storyline. When your life is in danger, or someone else’s is, that’s a good time to really ponder your love life.
Episode Grade: C+
5) The Daily Show with Hasan Minaj (Comedy)
English Audio Description?: Yes
I thought this would be funnier. Hasan, having the perfect experience for this having done The Daily Show, and then his own Patriot Act, was just given some really bland material this episode. His best bit was with Roy Wood about the Tooth Fairy. So far, Chelsea Handler is still my favorite, and I thought it would be Hasan.

4) Wu Tang: An American Saga (Hulu)
English Audio Description?: Yes
I think my favorite part of the second episode was when they explained how income tax works. It felt like a little public service announcement.
Episode Grade: B
3) The Connors (ABC/Hulu)
English Audio Description?: Yes
It’s not that I disagree with the choice made for the show to tackle a miscarriage. It’s that I think they should have let it sit for an episode or two. It just felt like the show wanted to move quickly through the storyline without giving it a second thought, so the plot had no purpose, and felt very afternoon special as a result. on the flip side, if Louise isn’t touring, is she full time now? I mean, they can still work around her schedule as this show almost never uses the entire cast. There was a reference to Mary, but I can’t remember the last time i heard her speak, or she was relevant to the plot.
Episode Grade: B+
2) Abbott Elementary (ABC/Hulu)
English Audio Description?: Yes
No. You are in your second season. Dammit. Those two should not have kissed in the second season. They are not Ross and Rachel. Jim and Pam took a while to happen, and this thing needed to continue to be suggestive for the remainder of the second season. Damn.
Episode Grade: B+
1) The Traitors (Peacock)
English Audio Description?: Yes
I’m so tempted to look for spoilers online. I’m obsessed with this show. I have every intention of at least checking out the UK version. The traitors are still alive, and there’s some twist. I wonder what the twist could be. Is someone reentering the game? Are they gaining a fourth traitor? Are they not able to murder anyone because Amanda left the show? Obsessed. And, I rarely let a new reality show in my life. If you follow my column, it’s populated by game shows or one of the long running competition series I’ve been attached to like American Idol, Top Chef, and The Masked Singer. The Traitors is totally unexpected for me.
