I’m definitely a day late and a dollar short on this, but Will Trent got a second season pickup from ABC. I’m really starting to believe The Rookie Feds isn’t coming back.
8) Hello Tomorrow (Apple Plus)
English Audio Description?: Yes
It’s odd, because these past couple episodes focusing on this all being a sham, and Jack’s master plan falling apart all within the first season have made it far less interesting of a series. I’m now in a place where I feel close enough to wrap up the season, just in case it course corrects, but also realize that if it doesn’t, I don’t care if it comes back.
Episode Grade: C+
7) All In The Family (Free Vee)
English Audio Description?: No
As I’ve added my classic shows back in, this was a third season episode where Archie wasn’t reporting his Sunday earnings to the government. What happens on Sundays is between him and the Lord. Can’t argue with that logic. Some episodes feel dated, others feel oddly timely, like nothing has changed. Either way, Jean Stapleton is a comedy legend.
Episode Grade: B
6) Daisy Jones and The Six (Amazon)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Now that Billy can stand daisy, it feels like that relationship moved way too fast. If you want to throw Billy and Daisy together, have the confidence in being able to do so over a longer length of time. Billy has been a raging asshole to her in every episode up until this point, and even in this episode. First episode of the series I just didn’t care for. Also, that song they worked on kids sucked.
Episode Grade: B
5) The Ark (Peacock)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Lots of revelations as the Arc 15 came into view, and we met the captain and learned a bit more about their motives. Should be an intense climax. I do wish this show had better actors in some roles though.
Episode Grade: B+
4) American idol (ABC/Hulu)
English Audio Description?: Yes
I really only fly out dislike one of the top 12, and it’s been the same person I was hoping would be cut before the Top 26. I dn’t know what American Idol fans see in him, but I’m just imagining he looks like Channing Tatum and has a giant package that people find alluring, because his voice will never land him a record contract. 11 good singers though. And, yeah, this might be the strongest season. Lots of people went home on very strong performances.

3) Last Week Tonight (HBo MAX)
English Audio Description?: No
I wish they’d consider adding audio description. Otherwise, I did feel like I learned a little bit more about Crypto, something I know nothing about.
Episode Grade: A-
2) Alaska Daily (ABC/hulu)
English Audio Description?: Yes
The season finale worked well considering they don’t know if they are coming back. They totally wrapped up their main Season 1 story arc, while hinting at what could be the conflict in Season 2, but leaving it in a way that satisfies fans should the series not receive a pickup.
Episode Grade: A, Season 1 Grade: A-
1) The Good Doctor (ABC/hulu)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Big things happened. Glassman found out about his stroke, and fought like hell to stay in the OR, eventually realizing that he can’t. He feels hurt and betrayed by Sean, and at the worst time, because Sean’s baby is on the way as the cliffhanger ending drops. There’s been a lot of focus on hitting home that Dad aspect for Glassman in his relationship with Sean, reminding him of just how close they are. Where will the show go from here? I have no idea, but Richard Schiff was terrific this episode.
