You know, if Apple hadn’t just bothered to raise their rates, this wouldn’t bother me so much, but I fully expected Killers Of The Flower moon to move from theatres to Apple Plus like all prior Apple releases. This time, it is taking a pit stop where I can rent it for 20 bucks or buy it for 25. No. Go fuck yourself. I should *at least* have a discounted rate on this nonsense. Apple, unlike the other streamers, does not have licensed content. So, unlike when Disney, Warner, Universal, etc., release a film to theatres, their streaming service not only offers original content produced for the streaming service, but also licensed content. That is not the case with Apple, which only has a smallish library of original content. When you start trying to milk us for more money, not just from our monthly rate, but also by offering us a chance to buy a film we will get in a few weeks (presumably) on Apple Plus, that’s where I draw the line. So, today’s middle finger goes to Apple. Netflix doesn’t pull this shit, why should you?
1) Wrestlers (Netflix)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Limited
The final episode. It all comes down to this. It really does come down to a major matchup that somehow feels like the make it or break it moment for these guys. I did think the credits sequence was funny, as many of the wrestlers started offering their real names, and then that Dollar guy just refused to play along. That’s when you know he’s wanted somewhere for something. Not necessarily illegal, but if he uses his real name, someone is gonna catch it.
Episode Grade: A-, Series Grade: B+
2) Billions (Paramount Plus)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Final Season
Everyone is still trying to take out Prince, except for Axe, who is MIA. Wags makes his shot look like it was meant to save Prince, but it left him wide open. Eventually, Prince had to take something away from Scooter, his most loyal subject, the one thing he was looking forward to. The closing moments just sat on Scooter, as he pondered this moment.

3) The Other Black Girl (Hulu)

I love Malaika as a character. But, when she accompanies her best friend to hazel’s for some girl time, she sees that Hazel has created some strange army of these somewhat robotic Stepford black women. Then we are left with the big question of what does voluntary or involuntary mean?
Episode Grade: A
4) Wolf Like Me (Peacock)

Well, that door is really important. In one episode, we get the damn door, go to a baby shower, and get home in time for the next full moon. Oh, but there’s a complication. Anton. who apparently is also a wolf, and a former flame of Mary’s. And he needs a place to wolf out. Those final moments where Josh Gad is just staring down into the basement… Damn.
Episode Grade: A
5) Our Flag Means Death (MAX)
English Audio Description?: Yes
As the crew has to learn to deal with Ed being back on ship, Izzy teaches important life lessons, there’s a proposal of sorts, and a long awaited kiss. This is the best gay pirate comedy you aren’t watching.
Episode Grade: A
6) Invasion (Tubi)
English Audio Description?: No
Status: Ended
This was a pretty solid start to what could be a match for lost, but ABC just didn’t see it. It’s hard to follow these characters with who might be an alien now, as there’s no audio description to describe their movements, or what happens in silence. But, I’m a big fan of Tyler Labine, and there’s a little spark that is causing me to remember watching this back in 2005.
Episode Grade: unwatchable
7) Saturday Night Live (Peacock)
English Audio Description?: No
Status: Renewed
Aside from the multiple George Santos jokes, the best sketch was that weird Diet Coke one. Hands down. I don’t giggle much, but when I do… it’s nice.
Episode Grade: B+
8) Last Week Tonight (MAX)
English Audio Description?: No
Status: Renewed?
Oliver has a nice start talking about a range of topics, but then things get really dark when he discusses organ or full body donation. There’s a point in his comments, where he says jokingly that everything is staying in his body and going to the grave with him, and that’s because the horror stories about some of this stuff will make you not want to donate. however, he leans so much in on how important it is to do so. But the system is so broken, I don’t think anyone watched this and then signed up to donate anything to anybody.
Episode Grade: B+
