Random Audio Description News: South Park’s Sermon On The Mount now has audio description on Paramount Plus.
The Waterfront- This was the season finale, so look for a review coming shortly.
Dexter: resurrection- I really like Blessing. I hope he doesn’t get killed off. He seems like good people, and also the kind of character Dexter would lose along the way. Also, I did not know they made hoodies that blocked cameras. Very interesting. I liked the audio description. I didn’t feel like I missed anything.
Ginny and Georgia- Georgia is too much. And this episode ends with another baby daddy coming back in the frame.Did Paul sign up for this much co-parenting?
And Just Like That- And just like that, my favorite episode of the season. Now I just need another season from HBO MAX so Carrie can enjoy being single, on a new show, and dating someone not named Aiden. Bye Felicia. Added bonus, Anthony had a great arc, trying to prove he’s all in on his boyfriend, but his boyfriend’s mom isn’t having it. What will Anthony do? Will he sacrifice his own happiness and set him free so his boyfriend isn’t disowned and disinherited?
Adaptive- Peacock released a disability docuseries just in the nick of time for Disability Pride month. this show, which follows a trio of paralympians on their respective paths dropped just with days left, but is a dollar short. There’s something about dropping a disability doc named Adaptive during disability pride month without audio description that really makes me think Peacock just doesn’t understand this at all. It’s like having a friend who says they’re a vegan, while they’re eating chicken nuggets. Like… what? Are you?
Last week Tonight- John discussed the Epstein file drama in fine form, went into his main story about how we track people suspected of gang activity and how something as simple as wearing the wrong shoes can get you branded and deported, and finished off with a segment about him rebranding a minor league team. I also noticed, because of the way my HBO MAX left me, that the previous episode (since he was on a break) had already gained audio description. In my queue, Last Week Tonight was left with like a few seconds at the end of the previous episode, so I heard the AD. While I watch mine the next day, much like South Park, if I was apparently more patient, audio description would come.
